Defeat Dhutanga in Worship's Rise
Defeating Dhutanga in the Lightzen Temple in Worship's Rise awards you with the Bone Needle - Flame and also unlocks the Temperance system.

Equip in Temperance Menu
You can equip Tempering Needles in the Temperance menu once it is unlocked. The Yangchi Acupoint can only be slotted with Bone Needles, while the other three acupoints can be slotted with Stone Needles.

Equip Temperance in Quick Slot
After equipping the Tempering Needles, equip Temperance in your item quick slot in the inventory and use it accordingly during combat.
How to Unlock More Acupoints
Invest in Alteration Nodes in the Impetus Repository
Once you unlock the Temperance System, you will have two acupoints already unlocked, the Yangchi and Huizhong Acupoints. You will have to unlock Alteration Nodes in the Impetus Repository to unlock more Acupoints and equip more Temper Stones.
