List of Contents
| Madness Level | Red Mercury Lost |
|---|---|
| Less than 50% | Small amount of Red Mercuries |
| 50% to 90% | Large amount of Red Mercuries |
| 90% to 99% | All Red Mercuries |
| Max Madness | All Red Mercuries and Inner Demon Spawns |
Red Mercury is lost when dying in the game. The amount of Red Mercury dropped will depend on the Madness level of Wuchang, with all of it being lost at around 90% to 100% Madness.

You can retrieve lost Red Mercury on the last position you were at when you died. This will appear as a small black puddle that you can interact with.

Along with Invoking at the Shrine, dying will also increase Wuchang's Madness level. Reaching max Madness will make Wuchang take more damage, but will also give a buff that allows her to deal more damage to enemies.

During Max Madness, an Inner Demon will spawn at the black puddle where you are supposed to retrieve your Red Mercury after dying. You will need to defeat this enemy to be able to retreive what you lost.

Dying will reset the world in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. This means that most enemies and environmental traps that you defeat and trigger will respawn, similar to other Soulslike games.

Shrines act as a checkpoint after death, meaning that Wuchang will respawn at the last Shrine she worships before dying.
