Revival and Return Monuments are used to minimize backtracking in Code Vein 2. Learn what Revival and Return Monuments are and what they are best used for in this guide.

You can use revival monuments to replenish your health and link points, as well as restore all of your regeneration items to full. This allows you to face boss fights at your peak, as the preceding fights may have depleted your resources.
As the name implies, Revival Monuments serve as checkpoints for failed boss attempts. They allow you to quickly reattempt the fight without having to traverse the entire stage again.
However, its uses are not limited to boss fights. You can also use it to safely traverse dangerous areas of the map close to the boss area, which are otherwise far from mistles. This minimizes the amount of backtracking required.

Return Monuments allow you to instantly teleport to the dungeon entrance and are unlocked after immediately defeating the boss. This is useful for exploring earlier areas of the dungeon that you might have missed.
They are most commonly used after beating the boss and destroying the dungeon's map jammer, which lets you see all the items you might have missed.
