How to Repair Lyle's Fading Bond

Use Lyle's Rusted Sword to Access the Bond

Lyle

You can save Lyle by using Lyle's Rusted Sword, which you can find in Forward Base One in the present era in Corroded Scar.

After defeating One-Armed Hero Lyle, speak to Lyle in Forward Base One in the Free Roam Era, then return to the present of the same area. The sword should be stuck in a grave. Interact with it to obtain Lyle's Rusted Sword.

Saving Lyle or completing the Timeline Shift Decision: Lyle is worth doing, as it rewards you with more items. You can also obtain three powerful Blood Codes such as Craig's Blood Code, Hero Lyle's and Pioneer Queen Imogen's blood code.


Regardless if you complete the Timeline Shift Decision for Lyle, he will remain corrupted in the present, where you will have to kill him for the Hero Lyle Blood Code.
