The Draconic Caster Rune Blades build focuses on spamming Draconic Stake from a far and buffing it with Dark Shout and Forma Prowess for more damage and faster casting. We will also make use of spamming Stun Shot to buildup Stun ailment and give you better openings for damage and recovery.

Take note that this build has high Ichor usage which we can offset with Drain Attacks and consuming Ichor Rejuvenative whenever we get the chance.

Burden and Overburdened Attributes

This build does not require any Overburned effects as we will make use of at least a normal dodge roll to help you avoid enemy attacks and keep your distance while casting Magic from a far. Keep in mind to that we need to have an 8 Vitality margin to help activate Holly's Blood Code trait for casting Forma using your health.

We highly recommend equipping the Holly 2 blood code to as this allows you to restore health on kill and use your health for casting Magic whenever we run out of Ichor. Furthermore, this blood code provides a good amount of Willpower to help you meet the requirements for equipping the Stealth Blades without any overburdened effects.

Alternatively, you can also equip the Lavinia 3 blood code for gaining Ichor whenever you inflict Stun with our Stun Shot weapon forma. Due to the increased status ailment buildup, we are also capable of inflcting Stun more frequently which can also spread to other nearby enemies for faster clearing of dungeons.

We will mainly be using the Stealth Blades rune blades as it provides high Willpower scaling and already comes with the Draconic Stake magic forma. Furthermore, the Dark Shout default forma will be extremely helpful for buffing our magic forma damage per cast.

Initially, make sure to use Forma Prowess for faster magic casting and spamming Stun Shot until you inflict the Stun ailment before you start nuking with Draconic Stake.

Stinger IconStinger ・Stinger is a decent alternative due to its range and speed but it has less Ichor absorbed on hit.

The best Jail to equip for the Draconic Caster Rune Blades build is the Bat jail as it allows you to continuously drain Ichor with its charged attack and enable you to keep spamming Draconic Stake and Stun Shot. Alternatively, you can also use the Stinger jail since it provides decent range but offers less Ichor drain from its attacks.

Focus on Casting Magic Forma

When going against any type of enemy, you will be adopting a magic caster playstyle that makes use of casting buffs and spamming long-range magic formae to deal huge burst damage. The rotation is as follows:

  1. Cast Forma Prowess for faster magic casting.
  2. Spam Stun Shot until enemy is stunned.
  3. Use the Bat jail's charged drain attack to recover Ichor.
  4. Cast Dark Shout to buff your next magic forma.
  5. Use Draconic Stake at a safe range for huge burst damage.
  6. Rinse and repeat.

By the time you have this build online, every single boss you fight will be immune to stun. Not worth it.
