Blood Codes are essentially the Class system for Code Vein 2 which is the foundation of any build. They provide various Traits and bonuses that specialize on specific Attributes such as Strength, Dexterity, Mind, Willpower, Vitality, and Fortitude.
If you want start crafting a Build of your own, we first recommend choosing a Blood Code to capitalize on so you can create a basis for your build that focuses on either Melee, Caster, or Support types. Once you have chosen a Blood Code, the rest of your gear will follow suit to further enhance the capabilities of your build.

When choosing a Weapon for your build, we want to make sure that their Attribute Modifiers match with whatever Blood Code you have equipped. This means that if your Blood Code specializes on Dexterity, we want to use weapons with high Dexterity scaling so we can maximize the damage output of your build.
Keep in mind that it you also have a Secondary Weapon to equip, so make sure this weapon compliments with your Primary Weapon to cover any weaknesses that your build may have.

You can equip up to four Weapon Formae skills, a Defensive Formae, and a Bequeathed Formae that amounts to a total of 6 Formae skills. Weapon Formae focuses on dealing damage and providing buffs which are equipped in a single weapon, while Defensive Formae allows you to guard and dodge against enemy attacks.
We recommend choosing Formae skills that synchronizes well with your Primary Weapon such as executing ranged attacks or providing buffs to maximize your damage. Your Bequeathed Formae can be flexible to your build as this replaces your primary weapon with a Unique Weapon for a certain duration.
