Fast travel to the Mistle near the Seized Substation in the Sunken City, and you should see five mobs by the road. Target the mob with the gun and use the Battle Axe: Idris's Conceit Bequeathed Formae twice to create a wide-area shockwave and deal massive damage, which should kill all five mobs.
You'll earn around 1,400 Haze per run, and it takes about 15–20 seconds to complete if done correctly. In theory, you should get around 126,000 Haze in 30 minutes!

This mid-game haze farming route is one of the best routes you can find throughout the game due as it only requires you to defeat a single enemy that can drop 10,045 Haze per kill. In theory, this should net you around 602,700 Haze in 30 minutes if you can kill the enemy in under 30 seconds.
In order to find this mid-game farming route, you first have to take on the Slaying the Hero Holly questline and progress it until you have Lycoris as your Partner. Once you have unlocked the area, head for the Abandoned Farm mistle and follow the road north towards the Grotto Military Site resurrection monument to find the haze farming spot.
Take note that the enemy can be difficult to kill if you are underleveled so make sure to use Wound resistance items such as Resistance Booster - Wound and Stone Vaccines to prevent you from getting inflicted with Stone and defeat the enemy as fast as possible.

This endgame haze farming route allows you to gain 41,665 Haze per run and takes around 3 minutes to clear. In theory, this should get you around 420,000 Haze in 30 minutes if you make use of the Revenant's Hunger booster and Military Rations during your runs.
In order to access this haze farming route, you first have to take on the Timeline Shift Decision: The Upheaval questline. Once you have arrived at the new area, progress the Sealing Spire until you reach the second floor Mistle and start clearing the floor of any enemies as each of them can drop around 5,000 to 8,000 Haze per enemy.
Keep in mind that you can only access this farming route during the Timeline Shift Decision: The Upheaval questline. If you have already progressed past the questline, you will no longer be able to access this area.

The Revenant's Hunger booster increases the Haze gained from defeating enemies as long as your character is not affected by the overburden effect. This booster can be obtained from Jadwiga by exchanging Spectral materials, which drop from specter enemies in the Undead Forest.
Revenant's Hunger Overview and Traits

Military Rations also increase the Haze gained when defeating enemies, but the problem is that the effect remains until death or resting at a Mistle, so it’s not useful for farming runs. These can be purchased for 150 Haze each from Jadwiga's minion in Forward Two Base in the Corroded Scar region.

Earn Haze by defeating enemies or selling items to merchants. Enemies sometimes drop loot, which you can also sell for additional Haze, so defeating more enemies will earn you tons of Haze if you include their loot drops!
Take note that defeating certain enemies will also help increase your Blood Code Proficiency depending on which Blood Code you have equipped.
How to Increase Blood Code Proficiency

Once you have enough Haze, head to a Mistle (you can fast travel to one!) and interact with it to open several options. Select the Level Up option, then use your arrow keys or the D-pad to choose how many levels you want to gain. You can also see how much each stat increases per level.

You can see how much Haze is required to level up by opening the field menu (press Esc on PC or the Start button on your console) and checking the top-right corner of the screen. You can also view this in the Level Up menu at a Mistle by looking at the ":Needed to Level Up": row.
Leveling up increases your character's HP, Stamina, Weapon attacks, Bequeathed Forma attack, and Drain attack power. Your Attributes such as Strength, Dexterity, etc. are all dependent on the Blood Code you have equipped. Your level also affects your Partner's level, increasing their LP. However, their attack power is only affected by the upgrade level of the highest-level Jail you have.
It’s still unconfirmed what the maximum level is, but the walkthrough team managed to reach level 120. We will update this as soon as we’re able to reach the maximum level.

Haze is the game's experience for leveling your character up, which also serves as the main currency for purchasing items from merchants and upgrading gear from Weapons, Jails, Bequeathed Formae, and Defensive Formae.
Dying causes all the Haze you’re carrying to drop at the exact spot where you died, and you’ll need to return there without dying again to retrieve it. If you die from falling, your Haze will appear near the edge from where you fell.
