Slaying the Hero Holly quest is obtained during Vanquishing the Heroes quest, which is after either Mastering Control of Time or Timeline Shift Decision: Noah. After you complete the prerequisite tasks, head to Withered Greenhouse in the Undead Forest to reach her cocoon.

Holly's Cocoon

Step Objectives
1 Arriving at Plagued Village
At the Plagued Village mistle, face left and enter the broken house. Go to the second floor to get the glowing items Letter and Holly's Note.

Holly's Note: Can be found in the house next to Plagued Village mistle
2 Patient
Jump down from the house, then cross the bridge. There is a glowing item, Patient's Diary, on the other side.
Patient's Diary: Can be found on the other side of the bridge from the Plagued Village mistle.
3 Tender Crimson Stone 4 location
Head right from the bridge, then go up the slope. Defeat the enemies, then turn right. At the end of the street, defeat the enemy, then go up the broken house on the right. Jump through the broken wall to the next house to get Tender Crimson Stone 4.
Tender Crimson Stone 4: Can be found in a house on the eastern side of the Plagued Village.
4 Tender Crimson Stone 3 location
Jump down from the house, then go into the broken house on the other side of the street. Go up, then defeat the enemy to reach the Tender Crimson Stone 3.
Tender Crimson Stone 3: Can be found in a house on the eastern side of the Plagued Village.
5 House near Playground Slide
Drop down to the side of the house, then head to the ledge near the playground slide. Head to the second floor of the house to get a Tender Crimson Stone 3.
Tender Crimson Stone 3: Can be found in a house next to the playground slide in Plagued Village.
6 Pure Platinum 4 location
Return to the entrance of the village. Go inside the house to the left of the bridge. Ascend to the second floor to pick up a Pure Platinum 4.
Pure Platinum 4: Can be found in the house left of the bridge at Plagued Village.
7 To the Chapel
Go down to the bottom floor, then go outside through the broken wall by the stairs. Follow the path through another house until you reach the chapel.
8 Inside the Chapel
Defeat the enemy inside the chapel to get the Pure Platinum 6. Then, head up the ladder to defeat another enemy to get the chest containing the Fangs of the Hunter.
Pure Platinum 6: Can be found inside the chapel in Plagued Village.
Fangs of the Hunter: Can be found at the top of the chapel's tower in Plagued Village.
9 Holly
On the side of the open wall of the chapel, you will find a Map Jammer. Defeat the enemy, then destroy the Map Jammer to reveal the map.
10 Holly
From the Map Jammer, go down the slope and go through the archway to reach the Withered Greenhouse.
11 Holly
At the Withered Greenhouse to investigate the cocoon of the hero, Holly. After the cutscene, interact with the time jump portal to access Holly's past.

At the Sanatorium

Step Objectives
1 Speak to Holly in Her Office
Once the series of cutscenes is finished, head down to the lower floor of the Sanatorium. Speak to Holly in her office and later ask her for treatment to obtain her Blood Code and temporarily obtain her as a partner.
2 To the Sanotorium Baths
Exit the Sanatorium through the front door, and head to the gate southwest to arrive at the Sanotorium Baths.
3 Indoor Spring
Enter the building to the left to get to the indoor hot spring for a cutscene with Holly.
4 Coffin Breaker - Sweeper location
Afterwards, exit the indoor spring and head up the stairs ahead. Before ascending the next flight of stairs, take a right to get a chest containing the Coffin Breaker - Sweeper Weapon Forma.
Coffin Breaker - Sweeper Weapon Forma: Can be found in the Sanatorium Baths.
5 Spring at the Top
Ascend the next set of stairs until you reach the top. Then, turn right into the covered hot spring for another cutscene with Holly.
6 Uncanny Stone location
After the cutscene, go to the balcony of the hot spring to pick up an Uncanny Stone. Then, return to the Sanatorium.
Uncanny Stone: Can be found on the balcony at the top hot spring in the Sanatorium Baths.
7 Visit Camilo
Head to Holly's office and take the elevator to Camilo's examination room. A cutscene will play upon your arrival.

Treatment at Gorge Cave

Step Objectives
1 Golden Nectar location
After the cutscene, head to the hotspring in the Gorge Cave for Holly's next step of your treatment. To find the Gorge Cave, head to the southern gate of the Sanatorium. You will find a Golden Nectar plant beside one of the statues on the way to the gate.
Golden Nectar: Can be found near the southern gate of the Sanatorium.
2 Take the Elevator to Examination Room
Exit the gate, then pick up the Pure Platinum 7 by the fountain next to the Sanatorium mistle. Head down the path to the right to continue heading to Gorge Cave.

3 Breath of Thunder location
Go to the ledge on the right to pick up the Breath of Thunder. Continue down the road until you get to a bridge where a cutscene will play.
Breath of Thunder: Can be found at the end of a ledge right before Gorge Cave.
4 Heart of Remnant 4 location
Enter the cave and activate the mistle. Descend to the first room of the cave, where you'll find a horde of enemies. Carefully defeat these enemies, then pick up the Heart Remnant 4 in the back corner.
Heart Remnant 4: Can be found in the first room of Gorge Cave.
5 Nameless Bayonet location
Keep descending into the cave until you find three pathways. Defeat the enemies to reach the chest containing the Nameless Bayonet. Then, head to the left path first.
Nameless Bayonet: Can be found in a chest in the middle room of Gorge Cave.
6 Down the Left Path
Defeat the enemies at the top of the slope, then pick up the Uncanny Stone. Head down the hole and defeat another set of enemies to pick up the Tender Crimson Stone 5. Follow the path, and it will lead back up to the hallway with the three paths.
Uncanny Stone: Can be found along the left path from the middle room of Gorge Cave.
Tender Crimson Stone 5: Can be found along the left path from the middle room of Gorge Cave.
7 Breath of Finesse location
Now, the path on the right will split into two again. Take the right path and defeat the enemy here. Break the wooden panel at the end of the room to reach the Breath of Finesse.

8 Down the Right Path
Turn back, then head down the other path. You will pass by a Tender Crimson Stone 6 when going around the corner. Drop down back to the hallway with three paths.

9 Down the Middle Path
Open the gate to the Map Jammer, and destroy it to reveal the map. Then, jump down the ledge. Follow the water stream into the spider lily garden for a cutscene.

10 Resurgence Zealot Boss size:728x410
After the cutscene, keep heading down towards the hot spring. Fight and defeat the boss, Resurgence Zealot, to trigger a set of cutscenes.
11 The Mysterious Girl
After the cutscenes, speak to the mysterious girl for details on how to unseal Holly. Then, go to a nearby mistle to reconvene with Lou in The Confluence. The order in which you choose to complete the next three objectives does not matter since you need to complete all objectives.

Holly's Pathos - Forest Complex

71 Forest Complex Holly
Head to the Forest Complex and follow the lamps to make your way through the connected buildings. Interact with Holly's statues to find out more about her past. Deep inside the complex, you will find Holly's Pathos boss. Defeat this boss to clear the quest objective.

Holly's Pathos - Amusement Park

Step Objectives
1 Amusement Park Holly
Head to the Snowy Mountain Amusement Park and make your way to the carousel area in the middle. Interact with Holly's statues to find out more about her childhood. Deep inside the park, you will find Holly's Pathos boss. Defeat this boss to clear the quest objective.

Holly's Pathos - Abandoned Hilltop Church

Step Objectives
1 Abandoned Hilltop Church Holly
Head to the Abandoned Hilltop Church near the Sanatorium and make your way through past the fountain. Interact with Holly's statues to find out more about her past. Deep inside the church compound, you will find Holly's Pathos boss. Defeat this boss to clear the quest objective.

Returning to Holly's Cocoon

  • In the Forest Complex, defeat the summons of Holly's Pathos first to keep her on the ground permanently.
