Link Traits and Partner Trait Bonuses are key Partner mechanics in Code Vein 2. This guide explains how Link Traits work and how to unlock additional Partner Trait Bonuses.

What Are Link Traits?
Special Effects Provided by Each Partner
Link Traits are special effects granted by your Partner. Each Revenant Partner has their own exclusive Link Traits, making them a key factor when choosing a companion.
Link Points and Trait Activation
Link Traits are only active while your bond with your Partner remains intact. This bond is represented by LP (Link Points).
When you take damage, LP is consumed. Once LP is depleted, all Link Traits are temporarily disabled until LP is restored.
What Are Partner Trait Bonuses?
Passive Effects Granted by Partners
Partner Trait Bonuses are passive effects granted by a Partner that remain active as long as that character is accompanying you.
Unlike Link Traits, these bonuses do not deactivate when LP is lost.
How to Unlock More Partner Trait Bonuses
Increasing Your Bond With Partners
Additional Partner Trait Bonuses are unlocked by increasing Partner Affinity.
Completing Partner-specific Requests provides the largest boost, while defeating enemies and progressing the story with that Partner active will steadily increase it over time. Giving Gifts at can also raise affinity.
New bonuses unlock automatically as your bond improves, allowing Partners to grant stronger bonuses over time.
