Summon partners to play with a companion and Assimilate for solo play in Code Vein 2. Check the differences between the two and the benefits for choosing to summon or to assimilate your partner in this guide!
List of Contents
Summoning your partner so they are physically present in the world offers multiple benefits, such as drawing enemy aggro, dealing damage, and having someone to talk to during exploration. If you’re the type of player who works best with a companion, summoning your partner is recommended.
Assimilating your removes him or her from the overworld, but provides you with more buffs to boost your power and make you stronger. Some partners' Link Traits only activate while Assimilated, so it's best to choose a partner with these types of traits if you're planning on going solo.
Your partner still provides you with a support buff whether they're summoned or assimilated. They can also perform Restorative Offering on either options whenever your HP reaches 0 to revive you.
