Is There Romance in Code Vein 2?
There is No Romance
Code Vein 2 does not include romance or dating mechanics. You cannot pursue romantic relationships, make choices to date partners, or unlock romance-specific scenes. Relationships with companions do not become romantic.
Partner Affinity Is a Hidden Bond System
Although there is no romance, each partner has a hidden affinity stat that represents your bond with them. Partner affinity increases as you fight alongside companions, complete their requests, and give them gifts.
Raising affinity mainly affects the items available in their Trade Shop and unlocks Partner Trait Bonuses, which grant passive effects like stat boosts or added combat effects.
How to Increase Partner Affinity
Focus on Story and Companionship
Rather than romance, Code Vein 2 emphasizes story-driven bonds between the player and their partners. Companions accompany you in battle, react to major story events, and gradually reveal their past and motivations.
These interactions are designed to build trust, loyalty, and shared purpose, not romantic attachment.
