Focus on Blocking His Melee Attacks

Focus on Blocking His Melee Attacks

The Resurgence Abomination mostly performs melee attacks that can be easily telegraphed due their obvious wind ups. We recommend using the Bleeding Shield (Light) defensive formae to nullify his physical melee attacks and start dealing damage as soon as the combo is done.

If you have the Mutinous Bracer defensive forma, you can also parry all of his melee attacks to stagger him for huge openings to deal damage.

Use Your Partner to Draw Aggro

Resurgence Abomination is an aggressive boss that tends to spam you with melee combos every chance it gets. On that note, we suggest utilizing your Partner such as Noah to draw aggro and give you time to heal and recover your stamina.

Take note that if Resurgence Abomination has aggro on you, you can opt to distance yourself and have it chase you around while your Partner will continue dealing damage until the aggro goes back to them.

You can find Resurgence Abomination during the Mastering Control of Time questline at the Water Treatment Plant in the west side of MagMell Island. Take note that this has to be in the 2277: The Present timeline in order for you to access the Edward the Lost Corporal boss fight.

Defeating Resurgence Abomination will drop the Object Strength Enhancing Forma Blood Code that you can equip to help build your character as you progress through the game.

Defeating Edward the Lost Corporal will drop the Object Strength Enhancing Forma to progress the questline and 2,569 Haze that you can use to level up, upgrade your equipment, and buy items from merchants.

Moves Details
Heavy Swing
The Abomination winds up his sword to the side and swings it in a wide sweep. This move can be blocked, parried and dodged when timed correctly.
Overhead Slash
The Abomination charges his blade above him and slashes downward. This move can be blocked, parried and dodged when timed correctly.
Knight's Combo
The Abomination hits you with his elbow and follows up with two wide swings into a forward thrust. This move can be blocked, parried and dodged when timed correctly.
Spinning Crush
The Abomination spins around twice while delivering two wide sweeps into a crushing overhead slash. This move can be blocked, parried and dodged when timed correctly.
Charging Thrust
The Abomination enters a stance and winds up his blade to perform a dashing thrust. This move can be blocked, parried and dodged when timed correctly.
Tainted Slam
The Abomination charges his blade with a red glow and thrusts it into the ground to execute a wide AoE pulse. This move can be blocked, parried and dodged when timed correctly.
Tainted Wave
The Abomination winds up his sword with a red glow and delivers a ranged wave attack. This move can be blocked, parried and dodged when timed correctly.
