Mutated Survivor Bernd has simple Rune Blade moves that can be easily telegraphed due to their slow animations. Make sure to bring the Mutinous Bracer defensive formae to perfectly time your parries against his melee attacks, leaving him vulnerable and open for burst damage.

Keep in mind that you can also make use of the Reaper Jail since the initial spin animation allows you to parry melee attacks as well.

Utilize Your Partner to Draw Aggro

In case Mutated Survivor Bernd gets too aggressive, you can always fall back and recover health while your Partner continues attacking to draw aggro. We recommend using either Lou or Noah to inflict Slow and provide better stamina efficiency respectively.

Additionally, you can make use of support formae such sa Defensive Order to boost both you and Partner's defenses, or Soul Stimulant to buff your Partner's attack damage and draw more aggro.
