First, fast travel to Gorge Cave Mistle in Undead Forest. Go down and jump down then immediately use your Battle Axe: Idris's Conceit to wipe out the group of enemies. Use it again to deal with the second group then kill the rest with your attacks. Repeat until you master the blood code.

First, fast travel to Upper Cell Block in Insula Carcere. Go down the stairs and make sure you run past near the enemies to get their aggro. Run past the metal detector then immediately turn around and use your Battle Axe: Idris's Conceit to wipe out the small enemies and inflict slow on the bigger enemy. Defeat the rest of the enemy then repeat until you master the blood code.

After mastering a blood code, interacting with the character related to the blood code will give you the higher level blood code of the same name with much higher stats and burden to take into account.

You can also consult Lavinia after mastering a blood code to receive a unique booster related to it that you can use. It is also part of her request which can increase her affinity.

You will also gain extra haze by killing enemies while mastering your blood codes to use for weapon upgrades, shop purchases and leveling up your character.

You will also gain affinity for your partner which unlocks their unique partner weapon while mastering blood code after killing enemies especially stronger ones. Make sure to select a partner you want to raise affinity with when earning proficiency for any blood codes.

Blood code proficiency is a mastery progression for each of your blood code that increases after defeating enemies while it is worn by the player.

Higher Rank Requires Stronger Enemies

Code Vein 2 - High Level Enemy
Higher rank blood codes will require stronger enemies for you to increase its proficiency. Lower level enemies will not add any proficiency to higher level blood codes.
