Loki Skills at 5★

Thökk Might: 14　 Range: 2 Calculates damage from staff like other weapons. At start of turn, if foe’s HP ≤ unit’s HP-3 and foe is in cardinal direction and uses bow, dagger, magic, or staff, foe cannot move more than 1 space through its action.

Restore+ Range: 1 Restores HP = 50% of Atk. (Minimum of 8 HP. ) Neutralizes ally’s penalties (from skills like Panic, Threaten, etc. ) and negative status effects (preventing counteratttacks, restricting, movement, etc. ) that last through ally’s next action.

Earthwater Balm+ Cooldown Count = 1 When healing an ally with a staff, grants Def/Res +6 to all allies for 1 turn.

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+HP/-Res

The best IVs for Loki are +HP and -Res. Loki's weapon, Thökk, has a very good utility effect that relies on her having high HP to trigger. This means, the more HP Loki has, the easier it is to trigger Thökk thus justifying a +HP IV. Balanced defenses is ideal for survivability so taking a -Res IV would be good for her as this will balance her stats.

+HP for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +HP IV when merging Loki to 10. This is for the same reasons above—making it easy for Loki to inflict Thökk's effects on her enemies.

We recommend the Special Effect Refine for Thökk

Thökk's refine option can apply a myriad of status effects from a distance; namely - Stall, Gravity, and Guard. Melee opponents receive the Stall penalty, ranged opponents receive the Gravity penalty, and the foe with the lowest Spd and all foes adjacent to that foe receive the Guard penalty.

It also grants Loki an Atk/Spd+4 buff during combat.

This refine is powerful and is worth spending Divine Dew to obtain.

Loki is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Loki Strengths

Weapon's effect is great for Aether Raids defense

In addition to having the effects of Wrathful Staff 3, Thökk limits ranged units' movement to 1 space until its next action if they meet the following criteria:

1. They are in the cardinal directions of Loki
2. Their HP ≤ Loki's HP -3

The check is made at every start of the turn. This makes Loki a great unit in Aether Raids defense where limited movement is detrimental to the raiding team because of the limited turns. Aether Raids is a fast paced game mode and most teams cannot afford things like this that slow their pace.

Can raise your arena score

C Duel Infantry is a special skill that treats the unit’s stats as 170 in the Arena, allowing your overall score to increase when using her. It is usable by any colorless infantry unit, so equip it and increase your score as you would like. It also grants +5 HP so it helps in inflicting Thökk's effects.

Can buff herself and nearby allies' Atk

Her default C skill Odd Atk Wave 3 grants Atk +6 to unit and adjacent allies at the start of odd-numbered turns. Wave skills provide buffs even to the user, despite being C-slot skills, which is a huge advantage to using them. Use the odd-numbered turns buff to your advantage, and strike when the time is right!

Earthwater Balm+ Provides Great Buffs

Earthwater Balm+ grants a +6 Def/Res buff to all allies regardless of range whenever Loki heals an ally. With a low cooldown of 1, you can easily grant your allies the +6 Def/Res bonus most of the time. Be warned that this is a visible buff and it odes not stack with other visible buffs. It does stack with in-combat buffs though.

Loki Weaknesses

Low Defenses

Loki's Def and Res sit at only 16 and 25 respectively. This makes her extremely fragile. Since she will find herself attacking every so often, we recommend inheriting Dazzling Staff 3 onto her so that she can avoid counterattacks.

Might be hard to utilize Thökk against more powerful enemies

Because of Thökk's requirement to have an HP advantage, Loki might have trouble applying it to more powerful enemies. Especially in high-difficulty maps such as Lunatic, Infernal or Abyssal. This is also true in the higher tiers of Aether Raids where merged up units are very common. We recommend inheriting another weapon like Gravity+ onto Loki so that she has other options in scenarios where Thökk is unavailable.
