When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Hostile Springs Ryoma are +Spd and -Res. A higher Spd stat allows Hostile Springs Ryoma to get a ton of follow-up attacks on his foes. It also improves his survivability by being harder to score follow-up attacks on. His Res of is less importance and thus safe to be taken as a bane.
We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Hostile Springs Ryoma to 10. With it, he reaches 43 Spd at max merges. This is for the same reasons as above. This IV combined with his B skill, allows him to outspeed lots of opponents. If he scores a follow-up attack on his first engagement, Luna will trigger because of the effets of his weapon skill, It's Curtains...+.

This premium build for Ryoma sets up a quick first Galeforce activation thanks to his prf. weapon. The other skills are there to increase his Atk/Spd stats. Heavy Blade 3 is there to support further Galeforce activations. You can also use Flashing Blade 3 if you prefer.

Hostile Springs Ryoma is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Do not underestimate curtains! Hostile Springs Ryoma's weapon, It's Curtains..+ grants -2 special cooldown count at the start of turn 1. Its a one-time effect, but it allows for a quick activation of Luna if Ryoma scores a follow-up attack in the player phase. Take advantage of this as it allows you to quickly take out a high-threat, priority target!
Luna can also be activated in the first enemy phase if Ryoma is able to counterattack an opponent.
Atk/Def Solo 3 grants Hostile Springs Ryoma +6 Atk/Def during combat when he enters a fight without adjacent allies. This skill can be hard to take advantage of in smaller maps or maps with lots of units like Rival Domains, but it is perfectly convenient in normal maps. If you are not fond of being restricted by the trigger condition, you can choose to inherit Death Blow 3 or Life and Death 3 onto Ryoma instead.
Chill Spd 3 inflicts -7 Spd on the fastest enemy unit. This is very important, as it makes one of the most powerful offensive enemy units in the map less likely to execute follow-up attacks. Take note that the effect is applied at the start of every turn and it wears of after the units' next action! This means that if the enemy receives a refresh-assist skill, Chill Spd 3 will wear off the next action. This potentially allows the unit to score follow-up attacks on your team.
Another quirk of Chill Spd 3 is that it affects the enemy unit regardless of where Hostile Springs Ryoma is. Again, it only lasts until the affected units' next action so the Spd debuff will not be present if the enemy receives a refresher-assist skill.
As a flying unit, Hostile Springs Ryoma takes 1.5x damage from bows and weapons effective on flying units. Be sure to keep them out of the range of archers and leave them to other units.

Hostile Springs Ryoma can be used to inherit the skills It’s Curtains...+ and Atk/Def Solo 3. However, Hostile Springs Ryoma is only obtainable from a special banner, so think carefully before foddering him off.
Hostile Springs Ryoma is a limited time Hero who can be pulled from a Special Heroes Summoning Event. They do not appear in regular summons.
Note: Not currently a featured hero in any Summon events.
