The Hawks will not provide any inconvenience to the player and also drops minimal amount of souls and is thus, not recommended to be attacked at all.

Snipe Them With Ranged Attacks

Due to their small size, attacking them may prove difficult but it is possible to snipe them with ranged attacks.
