1. Talk To The Storyteller At Shu Sanctum
Close by the Panda at Shu Sanctum is the Storyteller by a campfire. He fearfully asks you not to eat him and will hand over a Bamboo Shoot at the end of the conversation, which you can use to trade with the Panda.
If you don't interact with him at this point, he will disappear for the rest of your playthrough.

2. Talk To The Storyteller At Bride's Boudoir
Before you can make your way to the Wedding Hall for the fight against Fang Ling, the Storyteller can be found at Bride's Boudoir, right before the wooden bridge in the Shaft. He will plead with you not to turn to avarice, and hand over another Bamboo Shoot.

3. Talk to the Storyteller After Defeating Fang Ling
When you defeat Fang Ling, rest at the Wedding Hall shrine and the Storyteller will then be sitting beside it. He will commend you for defeating the perfect bride, and teleport you to Hillswatch.
You can teleport back to Cloudspire if you decide to head to Hillswatch now with the Storyteller.

4. Talk to the Storyteller at the Pavilion of Knowledge
Take the Benediction Gate at Zhenwu Temple to make your way to the Pavilion of Knowledge shrine at Mt. Zhenwu. Here, the Storyteller is going through old books and items of the Taoists, searching for treasures.
Choose to Heed the warning in this dialogue, and it will hint out a boss you will be encountering in the region. Afterwards, he will hand you another Bamboo Shoot.

5. Talk to the Storyteller at Zhenwu Altar
The Storyteller is sitting atop a boulder nearby a campfire at Zhenwu Altar. Talk to him when you decide to move on to the next chapter, and you'll be teleported to Worship's Rise in Ruins.
You won't be able to come back to Worship's Rise, but other regions will still be available. However, most NPC questlines will progress and there's a chance you might skip over Missables.

6. Agree To Help The Bo People
At Annalum, in a ruined Worship's Rise, the Storyteller will plead with you to help his people. Agree to help him by slaying the Bo Magus, and he will give you a Polygonal Container Spell, which will protect you from the temptations of the Bo Magus.
If you refuse to help him, it will lock you to the Successor of the Bo ending.

7. Talk To Duryal At Depths of the Capital
The Storyteller will reveal to you that he is actually Duryal, a mystical figure in Shu's legends. He was the same as Bo Magus, a chosen of the Primordial Deity and had shapeshifted to take on his current form.
You can find him right before you jump down a Hurricane Circle, leading to the final area before Forbidden Lands. Talk to him and receive a Golden Scepter Spell, and you'll be able to call on him when you fight the final boss.

Go to the cave at the edge of Shu Sanctum and talk to him to receive a Bamboo Shoot.

The Storyteller can be found in two different spots in the Shaft. Right before you head to Fang Ling, he'll be sitting before the wooden bridge and can offer advice before the fight.
After defeating Fang Ling, the Storyteller will be beside the Wedding Hall shrine after resting. He will teleport you to Hillswatch which is the next area, so be sure to finish everything you want to at Cloudspire before talking to him.

Nearby the Pavillion of Knowledge shrine at Mt. Zhenwu, the Storyteller is up the stairs, hunched over books and muttering about the Taoist's treasures.
Chapter 3: Mt. Zhenwu Walkthrough and Secrets
Nearby Zhenwu Altar
Nearby the Zhenwu Altar shrine, the Storyteller is sitting atop a boulder by the campfire. Speaking to him will teleport you to the next area.
You won't be able to go back so make sure you've accomplished everything you need at Mt. Zhenwu.
Annalum at Worship's Rise in Ruins
The Storyteller is at Annalum at a Ruined Worship's Rise. You can find him underneath a gazebo, sitting on the ground.

Depths of the Capital
The Storyteller is at the Depths of the Capital, right before the jump down to a Hurricane Circle. This is the final area right before Forbidden Lands, which is the last chapter before the ending.

Anonymous 4 monthsuh… storyteller does not appear at the brides boudoir on my end,can l get him to appear in the net location? lve skipped another npc already and he appeared later but idk he appeared afterwards after l beat the Perfect Bride boss and rested in the shrine it was right beside it
