Matchstick Questline Walkthrough
- Talk to Matchstick After Joining The Gang

1. Talk to Matchstick After Joining The Gang
If you impress Shen Jing'an, she will let you join the gang. Once you do, the other members will be a lot more talkative. Talk to Matchstick after joining the gang to recieve a new emote, the Celebrate pose. He will leave for Cloudspire Outskirts if you don't hand over the Vitality Bowl at this time.
2. Give Matchstick the Vitality Bowl
Matchstick is very worried about his grandmother and will resolve to go to Mort Grotto. If you give the Vitality Bowl to him before he does, he will mourn and will not head to Mort Grotto.
Find Matchstick Near Cloudspire Outskirts Shrine
If you don't manage to give the Vitality Bowl while Matchstick is at Cloudspire City, you'll find him at Cloudspire Outskirts ▼ looking for the bowl. You can give it to him then.
When you do, you'll be rewarded with a Great Yonder Tiger Cap in return.
3. Give Huang Yan The Wedding Attire
In order to advance Matchstick's questline, you'll have to hand over the Wedding Attire over to Huang Yan at Snowfall Palace. You will also receive Crystallized Red Mercury as a reward.
When you do, Feign ignorance and do not mention the butler's betrayal. If you do, this will end Matchstick's questline prematurely.
4. Slay An Enemy Close to Avian Marsh Shrine
Unfortuantely Glut and Matchstick don't survive passing through Avian Marsh. Slaying an enemy atop the roof of where the shrine is will drop their tokens, which you can hand over to Shen Jing'an to tell her of their passing.

Starting Location: Cloudspire City
You'll first encounter Matchstick beside Shen Jing'an in Cloudspire City. First, agree to join the Great Yonder Gang by speaking with Shen Jing'an, then talk to Matchstick to get the Celebrate emote.
Matchstick's Grandmother Location
Before heading to Cloudspire City, from the Snowy Passage shrine, head up the snowy hill and turn to the left. Find the hill where a tree with a man is hanging by rope, and head to it.
There is a door nearby that you can interact with to talk to the grandmother. She will give you the Vitality Bowl and requests that you give it to Matchstick.
Cloudspire Outskirts
You can find Matchstick in one of the houses in Cloudspire Outskirts. From the Outskirts Shrine, make your way through the area with the burning house—where you fought the manifested inner demon. From the burning house, make your way past the group of rebels, and you will find the house where Matchstick is on your left.

Mort Grotto
If you don't manage to give Matchstick the Vitality Bowl in time, go to Mort Grotto and slay one of the enemies there. They will drop Matchstick's Token, indicating his passing away.

Refugee Camp
You'll be able to find Matchstick and the gang nearby where the Child in the Jar resides in the Refugee Camp. Find the bridge connecting to their area, and head past a small settlement to find them. There is a lit campfire in the area.
