1. Give the Dough Figurine of Mu Guiying to the Child

Child in the Jar

Give the Dough Figurine of Mu Guiying to the Child in the Jar in the Narrow Stretch. You can find the Dough Figurine in Lightzen Temple, in front of a house shrouded by bamboo shoots.

2. Give the Bloodied Steamed Bunny Bun in the Refugee Camp

Child in the Jar Refugee Camp Location

You'll have to find a Bloodied Steamed Bunny Bun to give Child in the Jar to advance his questline. You can obtain one by killing an infected villager at a nearby location. When you give the item, rest at a nearby shrine, and a Tattered Paper will be left behind at where the NPC was originally.

3. Talk to Child in the Jar at the Refugee Camp

Mention Ferry Overlook to the Child in the Jar

After defeating Bo Sorcerer, return to the Refugee Camp and go near one of the tents next to Magalhaes to overhear a conversation, mentioning the "matter of the boat at the docks". Return to the Child in the Jar and choose the dialogue option to Tell of the boat waiting at the dock to progress the quest.

If you don't mention it, he'll disappear and his Ceramic Jar and a Figurine can be found in his place. You'll be able to wear the jar as a helmet, albeit the dismal stats.

If you decided to tell him about the boat, the Child in the Jar can be found at the Ferry Overlook, sitting by the pier with his feet hanging over the edge.

You'll first encounter the Child in the Jar inside the house in Narrow Stretch, just past Nian Suichang. Hand him the Dough Figurine of Mu Guiying you obtained within Lightzen Temple to get the Draw Circle emote.

You can find him again at the Refugee Camp after defeating the Bo Sorcerer. He's some ways from where the merchants and Magalhaes is located, but you can get to him via a bridge. He will be standing by a campfire, with his hands holding the jar securely on his head.

Child in the Jar in Ferry Overlook

If you decide to tell him about the boat at the dock, the next time you see the Child in the Jar will be at Ferry Overlook. If you speak to him, he won't have anything to say but he will hand over a Bamboo Shoot.

When you rest again, in place of the Child in the Jar will be his helmet, the Ceramic Jar
