Hard mode races available in Racing Carnival
Racing Carnival is a limited-time, single-player event where you can race against other Umamusume to earn Carnival Points and exchange them for various rewards.
Participating in a race consumes 1 RP, but there is no daily limit. You can participate as many times as you want, provided you have RP.
TP and RP Explained: How Do They Work

Extreme Race unlocked by completely filling the gauge.
Participating in hard-difficulty races enough times will unlock Very Hard and Extreme Races that reward more Carnival Points. Try to unlock them as soon as possible!
The amount of Carnival Points obtained is determined by your trainee's placement after finishing the race and the number of the skills activated. This scoring is similar to Team Trials.

Veterans who finish fifth or better in a race will earn the Carnival Bonus spark. Using an Umamusume with this spark as a Legacy or Parent will give the Carnival Bonus skill to the other trainee. The skill boosts stats and increases the chances of getting Great mood during Racing Carnival races.
Note that this spark is only available for the duration of the event, and cannot be inherited from guest trainees.
Legacy and Sparks Guide: Inheritance Guide

| Carnival Bonus | Stat Boost | Great Mood Chance |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | +10% | 50% |
| Level 2 | +20% | 75% |
| Level 3 | +30% | 100% |
Trainees who possess the Carnival Bonus skill can increase its spark level through races. Higher levels of the skill grant better stats and a higher chance of getting Great mood during races. The Carnival Bonus spark and skill are capped at Level 3.
Players with weaker Umamusume can take advantage of the Carnival Bonus skill to increase the changes of winning. If your Veterans are already good, you only need to clear a Career with the Carnival Bonus skill once to complete a mission for Carats and not worry about getting the max level for the skill.

Racing Carnival will have medium and mile races. Trainees that are skilled in both aptitudes are best suited to participate. Similar to Legend Races, you cannot challenge an Umamusume with the same name as your Veteran.
During training, focus on teaching your Umamusume a variety of skills. The scoring system is similar to Team Trials, where points increase based on the number of skills activated and their performance (final placement, positioning), with Rare skills giving more points.

For Extreme races, A+ rank trainees are recommended due to the strong competitors. If you fail to win the race, you'll still be able to retry with bonuses to your trainee's stats. Generally, if you're already able to raise strong Umamusume, you may not need the Carnival Bonus anymore.
| Retry Bonus | |
|---|---|
| 1 Attempt | +25% |
| 2 Attempts | +50% |
| 3 Attempts | +75% |
| 4 Attempts | +100% |
| 5+ Attempts | +150% |
These bonuses are reset once a Challenge Race ends.
Try to earn 100,000 Carnival Points and exchange them for a Rainbow Uncap Crystal Shard.
You'll also be able to exchange the points for other valuable rewards such as Trainee Scout Tickets, Support Card Scout Tickets, and Goddess Statues.

If you have them available, use Carrot Jelly Minis to restore RP and participate in more races.
