The pity system in Umamusume: Pretty Derby allows you to choose a SSR or 3★ from a banner after rolling on it 200 times using Exchange Points. Learn how pity works and if it is worth building towards it by reading below.

Everytime you Scout, by paying with Carats or using a Ticket, you will receive an Exchange Point for each roll on that banner. After clicking Exchange Lineup in the Scout screen, you can trade 200 Exchange Points for the featured SSRs or 3★ of that banner. Note that Exchange Points do not transfer between banners.
Along with getting Exchange Points:
If you have Exchange Points on a limited banner, it will be converted to Clovers once it expires.

When you trade a SSR character with 200 Character Exchange Points, you will receive 90 Star Pieces for that character instead of 60.
| Stars (Characters) Rarity (Support Cards) |
Scout x1 | Scout x10 (Odds for 10th Pull) |
|---|---|---|
| ★★★ SSR |
3% | 3% |
| ★★ SR |
18% | 97% |
| ★ R |
97% | - |
The gatcha rates for Trainees and Support Cards are the same for rarity.
The individual rates will depend on the banner and the featured SSR. You can check it by clicking Details on the top right of the Scout screen.
List of All Banners: Which Banner to Pull?
Unless you want to spend on the banner, you should not pull expecting to hit the pity. You need to save 30,000 Carats to guarantee pity on a single banner.
Though extra Exchange Points are converted to Clovers, the items they exchange for are subpar to a guaranteed pity.
