Team Races happen every six months of a career in the Unity Cup of Umamusume: Pretty Derby. Learn more about what Team Races are and how to win them in this guide!
List of Contents

Team building is an important part of winning Team Races. Similar to Team Trials, you can select up to three Umas per race based on distance and track. Choose Umas based on their aptitude to win more consistently across all races.
Do not rely on the auto-select feature of the game, as it might not put the ideal characters for certain tracks.

Your team members will also have skills available. Their skills can be seen by holding their icons in the team menu and in the races.
Support Card teammates specifically have their cards' skills, so having Sprint-focused cards like Biko or Long-centric like Manhattan Cafe will work best on these specific tracks. This is especially important, as your Uma can only be in one of five races.

Upon joining the Team Race, you can choose a match from three available teams. These teams are ranked from top to bottom based on difficulty and will net you better rewards the more challenging the team is.
Look for teams that have multiple double-circles with at least three per match, as these indicate higher chances for your team to win. Do note that wins are still not guaranteed despite having these indicators.

When playing more conservative runs, aim for the middle option, as they give you the best balance of both challenge and rewards for the Team Races. However, it's best to only do this once, as this might make it harder to beat Team Zenith at the end. We suggest picking the middle option only in the first race to lower the difficulty of the succeeding races and still get a change to get the +50 bonus for ranking 5th or above at the final race.
The bottom option often doesn't increase your Team Placements that much, while the top option is sometimes too difficult for your Team to challenge. Maintain how aggressive of a playstyle you want to have, as losing drops your Team Placements.

Team Races are won by winning in three tracks per match. Use this as a strategy by focusing your power into three distances to ensure you win the match. If you do lose a match, note that your team placements will go down.

You will gain more attributes that increase your entire team's stats the higher your placements are. Acting as a circular feedback loop, the more you win, the easier it is to win.

Team Races happen every six months throughout your Uma's career in the Unity Cup. These races give extra stats and skill points for your Uma and increase Team Rank and Placements.

Participating in team races is the main way to increase your Team Ranks. These ranks are tied to specific stats and increase the facility level for your Uma's training.
How to Increase Team Rank (Unity Cup)

Team Placements and Titles give Attribute Bonuses to your entire team. This improves all members' stats, making them even stronger in team races.
