Rushed affects the Stamina of your Umas during races in Umamusume: Pretty Derby. Learn what the Rushed status is and how to mitigate it here!
List of Contents

Rushed is a debuff status effect gained by Umamusume's during their races and causes your Uma to lose stamina quicker as they suddenly go faster in the middle of the race without warning, making them trail behind afterwards.
This is one of the status debuffs a trainer must mitigate firsthand to avoid suddenly losing pace in the match, especially in Long runs as it may cost you the entire match if your Uma gets afflicted by it.

The primary method to avoid getting Rushed is to train your Uma's Wit as you proceed with your Training Turns. Training Wit is crucial for Umas to activate their skills frequently while also reducing the chances of getting the Rushed status.
On your usual career runs, the Uma you are training must reach at least around 300-400 Wit to properly activate their skills and minimize the chances of getting Rushed. Later on, much of the game will require Umas to perform Wit training more often in harder content.

Equip your Uma with Recovery (Blue) skills to mitigate fatigue during the race and recover from the Stamina loss. Preferably look for mid-race/late-race Blue Skills that fits the Racing Strategy of your preferred Uma.
These can be collected directly from the Characters themselves through their Career Mode or via Support Cards that can trigger a Training Event.

Another way to reduce your chances of getting Rushed is to choose the proper Running Strategy (Pace Chaser, Front Runner etc.) for your Uma, preferably pick the one in the Pre-Race Menu that suits them best and shows where they are good at.
This will help minimize not only getting Rushed but also other potential issues with your Uma's racing capability as you should put them on the correct Running Strategy before every race!
| Wit | Rushed Frequency | Rushed Percentage |
|---|---|---|
| 300 | 56/300 Runs | 18.67% |
| 600 | 37/300 Runs | 12.33% |
| 900 | 36/300 Runs | 12.00% |
| 1200 | 19/300 Runs | 6.33% |
※ Tested on JP Server with around 300 runs on 10 Umas. Mileage may vary.

Rushed cannot be avoided even if your Uma has a full 1200 Wit stat but can only be curbed down, so your Uma, if tough luck, may still get Rushed even at a full 1200 Wit.
Despite this, it is advised that you mitigate the chances of getting Rushed by upgrading Wit as it'll help not only minimize Rushed from occuring but will also help you trigger skills faster and decide your position in the race.
