Race Bonus is a boost from certain Support Cards that increases the rewards you obtain at the end of a race. They give you an increase on the stats you gain after finishing a race, as well as more skill points.
Having a huge amount of race bonus affects the stats you gain in some hidden events if you manage to activate them during your career. The more race bonus you have, the more stats you will likely get.
| Race | Standard Race | Trackblazer Race |
|---|---|---|
| +10 to random stat +45 Skill Points |
+10 to random stat +35 Skill Points |
|
| +8 to random stat +35 Skill Points |
+10 to random stat +25 Skill Points |
|
| +5 to random stat +30 Skill Points |
+10 to random stat +20 Skill Points |
The table above shows the rewards for a first-place finish in both standard and Trackblazer races with 0 Race Bonus. Keep in mind that Trackblazer races award fewer Skill Points, and finishing in second place or lower will further reduce your stat and Skill Point gains.
| Items | Details |
|---|---|
Artisan Cleat Hammer
|
Race stat gain +20%.
Cost: 20 Shop Coins |
Master Cleat Hammer
|
Race Stat gain +35%.
Cost: 40 Shop Coins |
Race Bonus can be increased by using Cleat Hammers. These are items that are purchased from the Pro Shop using Shop Coins during a Trackblazer career.
Cleat Hammers stack multiplicatively with Race Bonus, with the total rounded down after each calculation. This results in a final reward increase of 20% or 35% depending on the hammer used.
To find the stats and skill points you'll get after applying Race Bonus, you have to multiply it to the base value as a percentage then add it to the base value. The final bonus is the value rounded down.
Refer to the table below for an example placing first in a G1 race with 30 Race Bonus.
| Optional Race |
10 x 1.30 = 13 to random stat
45 x 1.30 = 58.5 → 58 Skill Points |
|---|---|
| Trackblazer Race |
10 x 1.30 = 13 to random stat
35 x 1.30 = 45.5 → 45 Skill Points |
| Trackblazer with Artisan Cleat Hammer |
10 x 1.30 = 13 ┗13 x 1.20 = 15.6 → 15 to random stat 35 x 1.30 = 45.5 → 45 ┗ 45 x 1.20 = 54 Skill Points |
Aim for the 50 Race Bonus breakpoint when doing the Trackblazer career mode to get the most out of the stat rewards after each race. Since you'll race more rather than training during this career, having a high Race Bonus will be one of your sources for gaining stats. With 50 Race Bonus, you'll get +15 to a random stat when you're in 1st place of a G1 race.
Trackblazer (Make a New Track) Scenario Guide

You should aim to have 34 Race Bonus or higher in the URA Finale and Unity Cup career modes, as it will give you +4 bonus to each of your stats after winning a race instead of +3. Having 34 Race Bonus is considered the breakpoint in these career scenarios, as this maximizes the stat gain you receive after a race.
Another thing to note is that when you have a 50 Race Bonus on your deck, you can gain a +3 bonus for each of your stats if you are in second place instead of +2.

Here are the race rewards you'll receive depending on the Race Bonus that you have from your Support Cards. For optional races, you'll get a higher stat increase for G1 races for every 10% race bonus and G2-G3 races for every 12.5% race bonus. This means the G2 and G3 stat breakpoints happen at 13%, 25%, 38%, 50%, 63%, and 75% Race Bonus due to rounding down.
Changes to stat gains for goal races happen at 34% Race Bonus. As such, this threshold is the breakpoint for career scenarios like the Unity Cup and URA Finale.
On the other hand, a significant increase of stat gains for optional races of all grades can be seen at 50% Race Bonus. This breakpoint should be a priority for Trackblazer, as doing optional races is the core mechanic of this career mode. The next stat breakpoints for Trackblazer are at 60% for G1 and OP races then 63% for G2 and G3 races. Going beyond is fine, but impractical, as you may be giving up on some rare skills with the card selection.

Click the Perks button before starting a career and scroll down to see how many Race Bonus you have in your Support Card deck. Some cards also have Race Bonus as their Unique Perk which is equal to 5 Race Bonus.
In the image above, Kitasan Black, Mejiro Ryan, and Hishi Amazon give 5 Race Bonus each which totals to 15. Meanwhile, Marvelous Sunday and Super Creek each give 10 Race Bonus which totals to 20 Race Bonus. Lastly, Agnes Tachyon gives 7 Race Bonus.
All of the above when added will result into 42 Race Points. However, take note that both Hishi Amazon and Mejiro Ryan have Race Bonus as their Unique Perk which gives 5 Race Bonus each.
Overall, the total result of the deck above will be 52 Race Bonus points.

A lot of the 15% race bonus cards listed do not actually have 15% race bonus, rather 10%.
