・There is a downhill at the middle of the race.
・There are uphills in the early-race, mid-race, and late-race.
┗ Recovery skills activated in the uphill are in the mid-race.

The Taurus Cup's race is a Turf Medium (2400m) racecourse that accommodates Left-handed. Its distance is also a multiple of 400m, so it is Standard Distance. For a similar race you can emulate as the Taurus Cup, the closest is the Japanese Derby (Tokyo Yushun).

ⓘ 1000 Stamina for any running style is optimal if affordable. Allows you to worry less about Debuffers.
ⓘ 800 Stamina is generally a good number even with 1-2 Gold Recovery skills.
ⓘ Risks can be made with 700 Stamina. But beware of Debuffers that can cut this to 600.
ⓘ 600 Stamina and below is the danger zone for Medium races even with Gold Recovery Skills.

※ Above are guidelines you can follow for building Stamina. This is based on our experience in public CM practices in Room Match.
※ Gold stands for a Gold Recovery Skill (ex. Gourmand).

For safe measure, we do not recommend going anywhere lower than 700 Stamina if you're up against serious contenders. 600 is a doable number but will risk you getting dragged far back by dedicated Debuffers like Nice Nature and Grass Wonder.

Supplement Stamina with Recovery Skills

The values above represent their effectiveness in a general sense. Different recovery skill effects and behavior will vary.

When aiming for maximum Speed and Power while having high Wit, it's expected that building high Stamina (especially more than 1000) in this scenario is a tall order.

This why it is recommended to supplement Stamina with Recovery Skills since they serve as efficient options to have if you cannot build enough stamina. Having them will also help pad your stamina against debuff skills.

Maruzensky's Red Shift is so far the best unique skill that you can pass down to Front Runners and Pace Chasers. Though, it may also be passed down to Late Surgers or End Closers if you don't have the other Late/End uniques.

This skill is also often paired with Taiki Shuttle's Shooting for Victory! which increases your acceleration when you are well-positioned at the Final Corner (near the same time with Red Shift).

  • Unqiue skill strength. Maruzensky has one of the best late-race acceleration skills so far in global. Another notable Uma is Taiki Shuttle, however, she ranks mostly for her unique inherit Shooting for Victory! since she has an E aptitude for Medium by default.
  • Appropriate aptitude for the race (Medium). This covers even those whose Medium aptitudes are a bit off but can be covered by the necessary sparks.
  • Debuff capability. Nice Nature and other Umas with Dominator, such as Symboli Rudolf, Agnes Tachyon, and Grass Wonder can find themselves higher or lower on the list depending on the strength of their debuffs.
