How to Unlock Racing Outfits

Unlock trainees' racewear outfits by using Star Unlock in Umamusume: Pretty Derby. Learn how to unlock racewears, how to view and change outfits, and list of all racewears.

How to Unlock Racewears

Raise Your Trainee to 3 Stars in Star Unlock

Star Unlock

To unlock an Umamusume's racing outfit, you will need to raise your Umamusume up to 3 Stars in Star Unlock.

3-Star Trainees that you get from Scout (Gacha) will already have their racing outfits unlocked by default while 1-Star and 2-Star Trainees need to be raised in Star Unlock which can be found in the Enhance screen.

Increase Star Pieces to Raise Trainees to 3-Stars

To increase the stars of your trainee, you must collect a specific amount of Star Pieces to unlock the next star level. Star Pieces can be collected by pulling the same trainee in Scout (Gacha), exchanging Goddess Statues at the shop, or doing Legend Races of a trainee.

How to View All Outfits

Menu
Phone only: Tap the Menu option on the upper right of the Home screen.

Archive
Click Archive on the Menu screen.

Trainer Notes
Click Trainer Notes.

Select Trainer Notes
Click the character that you like.

Clothes Icon
Click the Clothes icon at the bottom of the character's model.

View Outfit
You can now see all the outfits you currently have for the character you selected.

You can check all the outfits that you currently have for a character in the Archive menu, specificially in the Trainer Notes.

How to Change Outfits

Change from Home Screen

Home Companion
Click the Home Companion icon on the upper left of the Home screen.

Choose Home Companion
Click the clothes under the character's icon.

Choose Home Companion Clothes
Choose any of the clothes that you fancy for the selected Umamusume and they will wear that when you are navigating the game menus.

Change an Umamusume's outfit when they appear in the in-game menus by clicking the Home Companion icon on the Home screen.
