Team Trials is a highly competitive game mode that pits you in a team race against players all around the world. Before participating, know that it costs 1 RP for every Team Race. 1 RP is restored over time, through x10 Carats, or x1 Carrot Jelly Mini.
You set up a team of Veteran Umamusume characters and compete against other players in five races. Each race will be in five different categories: Sprint, Mile, Medium, Long, and Dirt.
This emphasizes the importance of choosing the right Veteran character for each race rather than simply using your strongest characters.

Your opponents will be determined by your current Team Rank. Beginners start with no rank and must compete in a few matches to earn one. Players can move up classes by earning enough points from wins, draws, or even losses to get yourself into Promotion range.
Team Rank is still separate from your Class, which is determined instead by your overall point gain from participating in Team Trial races. At the end of each tally event for Team Trials (which is held at the end of every 6 days), class promotions, retentions, and demotions will be made to all players.

The Team Trials mode resets weekly during every Monday at 3:00 PM UTC. This means that your score will be reset and you must earn a new high score that will determine whether you will be promoted, demoted, or retain your class.
Make sure to check aptitudes when making a decision on which team to place your Veteran Umamusume!
You'll want to focus on maximizing your points on each race which is done by having your team leading or closest to the front and activating the most skills. In this case, building Umas purely on debuffs are a significantly of less priority compared to Champions Meeting races.
Team Trials tier listing are evaluated on three key factors:
Best Character (Trainee) Tier List

Since there are five categories in team races, when starting out, it is recommended that you have five (5) well-built Veteran characters if you want to climb the ranks in Team Trial mode.
By the time you hit Class 3, you will want to focus on filling all of your teams with 3 viable Umamusume each with every team's Ace being your best in that category.
Building lots of Veteran Umamusume may take a while, but it will be well worth it for Team Trials as well as other modes that require certain stats or specialties to excel.

To maximize your chances of winning, assign each Veteran Character to the category in which they excel. Since there are five races in total, your chances of winning improve if all characters are competitive.
Make sure to not just build the stats of your Umamusume during Career mode, but also get the best skills for team. Teams can built around 1 or 2 horses that can challenge for the lead position with the rest acting as support (such as debuffers).

If your Umamusume places first place during the race, they will receive more score points. It is ideal if all of your members score from 1st to 3rd for a better score.

Umamusume having a good position during the middle of the race will also give points to your overall score.

Skills activated during the race will also give points towards your overall Team Trial score. Make sure that your Wit is high enough for your skills to activate frequently.

If your Umamusume has a Late Start or they or Rushed during the race, you will have a deduction to your overall points. Having a high Wit will reduce your chances of having Late Start or Rushed.

Leveling up your Support Cards past level 20 will give Support Bonus during Team Trials up to 50%. Having a high Support Bonus means that it will have a boost on your score in Team Trials.
Note that leveling up Support Cards will cost a lot of Monies and Support Points but will help you gain more points during Team Trials.

The team above have A or B aptitudes on the track type that they are assigned to, so these Umamusume will perform their best when they participate in these races.
Note that some of the Umamusume listed in their respective tracks only have B rank aptitude, so use Legacy with at least 2 Star Pink Sparks to raise their aptitudes to A rank.

As soon as you finish the introductory sequence, you can participate in Team Trials. However, the competition will be fierce, as players will bring their strongest veteran characters with high stats.
We recommend playing through Career mode several times to create a character strong enough to compete.
