How to Train for Sprint Races

Focus Mainly on Speed

SpeedSpeed PowerPower

When training for Umamusume that will race on Sprint races, you should mainly focus on Speed as Sprints only have short distances and don't need Stamina that much.

Training Speed will also increase your Power a bit which is needed if you're playing as Pace Chaser, Late Surger, or End Closer.

Train Power Depending on Running Style

Front Runner Speed
Pace Chaser
Speed >>> Power
Late Surger
Speed >> Power
End Closer
Speed > Power

Front Runner won't need much Power as the Power that they get from Speed training is enough. However, if you are playing any of the other styles then you should train your Power more depending on what style you're using.

Get Sprint Skills

Sprint Skills

To do better in Sprint races, prioritize getting Sprint skills whenever you get hints during your Training.

Use More Speed Support Cards

Speed Deck

Sprint racers will require your Umamusume to have a lot of Speed so use 3-4 Speed cards whenever you are training a sprinter.

All Support Cards

Use Power Cards Depending on Running Style

Depending on what running style your Umamusume is good at, we suggest using at least 2 Power cards so they have an easier time overtaking racers on their front.
