Sprint distance races generally range from 1000-1400m distance and is the shortest distance of all races. As it is the shortest, you don't need to train much of your Stamina and instead just focus on increasing your Speed.

Mile distance races are the second shortest out of all the four race types. It usually range from 1401-1800 meters and doesn't require much Stamina, similar to Sprints. The general training for Sprints are usually used for Mile runners too.

Medium races are the second longest of the four race types and will be a test for your Stamina. Try to balance Speed and Stamina training when participating in Medium races.
During Medium races, it is recommended to get a Stamina recovery skill as Medium races will consume a lot of Stamina.

As the name implies, Long distance races are the longest race distance out of all the four distances. Boasting more than 2400 meters, this race track will test your Stamina so make sure to train it alongside your Speed and Power.
It is generally recommended to get a stamina recovery skill like Swinging Maestro or Gourmand if you are using Pace Chaser.

Currently the best Speed card in the game, Kitasan Black provides many recovery skills in any distances, as well as an exclusive one for Long. She also has Long Corners which will improve your velocity in a corner. |
Sprint and Miles are the two shortest race distances compared to the other two, so you can just focus mainly on raising your Speed more than the other stats.
Medium and Long races require a balance of Speed and Stamina, as these races consumes a lot of the latter so you will need to train this stat to maintain your speed mid to late race.
Additionally, consider getting stamina recovery skills such as Swinging Maestro and invest on Wit training so your skills will activate easier.
