Debuff skills have red-colored icons and typically inflict harmful effects on enemy racers. These varry from decreasing their Speed, Stamina, field of view, and other special effects.
Debuff Skills that decreases velocity are generally good and a consistent way to hinder enemy racers.
Stamina-down, or debuff skills that increases fatigue, when used to completely drain an unprepared racer's stamina, can completely ruin their run as they lose all momentum for the rest of the race. Racers with high stamina or with Recovery Skills, however, will mostly be unaffected much by these.
Debuff skills do not affect the Umamusume that triggered the skill and nor her allies. This makes them an effective way to indirectly boost a teammate's performance by inflicting debuffs on rival Umamusume.
Debuff skills do not affect the racer's allies in a team race such as Team Trials or the Champions Meeting. This makes Umamusumes stacked with as much Debuff Skills and Wit a crucial part of your teams.
