One of the Meta Front Runners
Mihono Bourbon (CODE: ICING) is one of the best Front Runners due to her skills like Escape Artist, Groundwork, and Concentration being built within her kit that boost her performance in this running style. Her overall skill set makes her the easiest Front Runner to build competitively, as you don't need to rely on many Support Cards that give these skills.
Not only that, but she also has growth rates for Speed, Stamina, and Power which will tremendously help make her a great runner alongside the skills that she has. Her Unique Skill will also help her gain a speed boost mid-race on a corner whenever another runner is behind her.
All in all, Mihono Bourbon (CODE: ICING) is someone that you should consider pulling, especially if you want a great Front Runner Umamusume.
Recommended for Medium Team Trials
Mihono Bourbon is an excellent Umamusume for Medium races since she has a high aptitude for this distance, and her having great Front Runner skills will help boost her victory in this distance type. Run Her as Front Runner
Mihono Bourbon has an A aptitude on the Front Runner running style. She also has access to Front Runner skills like Escape Artist and Groundwork that will give her an edge during early race.
As such, run Mihono Bourbon as a Front Runner to fully maximize her potential.
Max Out Her Potential When Able
It is recommended to max out her Potential level to give you access to Concentration for a perfect start during a race. However, if you do not have the Monies or materials to do so, try to unlock Potential Level 4 for the accel skill, Groundwork.
Improve Her Medium Aptitude
As Mihono Bourbon will be part of your Medium Team Trial team, it is important to improve her Medium aptitude using Legacy Sparks to maximize her performance. Increasing her Front aptitude from A to S is also ideal as this will be her main running style throughout her races.
She has three Long races in her career, so it is an option to improve her Long aptitude to A using Legacy Sparks to make sure she performs well in them. One Legacy Spark is enough to upgrade her aptitude. This should make it much easier to win all her career races.

Since Mihono Bourbon will be part of your Medium team in Team Trials as a Front Runner, we recommend getting the stats above so she has enough Speed and Power to stay in front of the pack. A gold recovery skill like Swinging Maestro or Trackblazer is recommended to help lower her Stamina requirements.
If you are only planning to clear a career run with Mihono Bourbon, then you can aim for lower stat numbers, as the stats above are for Team Trials. However, take note that she has three Long races in her career, so reaching a Stamina baseline is important to clear them:
- Kikuka Sho (Classic Year) - Have at least 400 Stamina before the race.
- Tenno Sho (Spring) (Senior Year) - Have at least 500 Stamina before the race.
- Arima Kinen (Senior Year) - Having at least 500+ Stamina before the race is enough, especially if you've already won Tenno Sho (Spring) previously.
Recommended Support Cards
Unity Cup Build
For Support cards, we recommend a 3 Speed, 2 Power, 1 Pal deck. This will allow Mihono Bourbon to get the Speed and Power she needs for her Medium races, with the Stamina coming from her +10% Stamina growth, Power training, and Riko Kashimoto's career events.
If you need an alternative gold recovery skill, Swinging Maestro can be acquired from Rice Shower (Happiness Just around the Bend) support card.
Budget Build
This deck is for players who are starting out and are still trying to get a feel of the game's mechanics and intricacies. This deck can help you get the needed stats to clear the career, while also providing important skills.
Take advantage of the game's borrowing feature to borrow a powerful MLB SSR, like Kitasan Black. Additionally, if you do not have an MLB copy of Riko Kashimoto (Tracen Academy), it would be better to use another SR Stamina card instead.
Alternate Cards
These cards will help Mihono Bourbon level her needed Stats (especially with Rainbow/Friendship Training), as well as provide some needed skills.
Note that Silence Suzuka (Searching for Unseen Sights) is a free card that you can buy from the store by using Club Points. This card is a good enough Speed card substitute if you don't have better cards. This card also provides the Trackblazer skill, which we recommend.
URA Finale Build
These stats are enough to clear the URA Finale easily, as they provide enough Speed, Stamina, and Power for all of Mihono Bourbon's career races, especially when partnered with the correct skills. As for the deck, you can either run a 3 Speed, 2 Power, 1 Stamina deck, or a 4 Speed, 2 Stamina deck.

Try to get Stamina and Power sparks when picking legacies for Mihono Bourbon, as she needs these stats quite a lot.
For race length sparks, get both Medium sparks to improve her Medium aptitude to S. For running style sparks, Front Runner sparks are the best as these will help push it up from A to S. Only take one Long sparks if you're having difficulty with winning her Long races
You can use either your own Veterans, or borrow the ones from your friends. If you do not have Veterans with full sparks, you can go with whatever you have access to.
Recommended Skills
It is ideal to get skills that help Mihono Bourbon stay at the front. For Speed skills, try to get Early Lead, and Fast-Paced, as they can help in keeping Mihono Bourbon at the front. Professor of Curvature is another good speed skill to have.
If you want to gamble, you can use Twin Turbo Speed SSR and get the Taking the Lead skill. However, obtaining this skill will be difficult with this card, as it is not guaranteed to unlock in the event where it's available. This is the only card that provides this skill for her, as the other card that has this skill is Mihono Bourbon's own card (which she can't use).
Aside from getting Trackblazer as your recovery skill, you can also try to get Swinging Maestro or Breath of Fresh Air if you have the cards that give those skills.
If you cannot get the recommended skills, you can replace them with similar skills that you have access to. You will just need to make sure that Mihono Bourbon (CODE: ICING) can activate said skills in a race.
