There are three types of potions in the game, Potions, Splash Potions, and Lingering Potions.

Potions are for drinking, while Splash Potions and Lingering Potions are for throwing. Splash Potions are absorbed by target entities, while Lingering Potions create an effect cloud on the target location, and entities that pass the location will gain the effect.

How to Make a Potion of Invisibility

Place the Ingredients in a Brewing Stand

Place the Base on to any of the bottom slots in the Brewing Stand, and the Ingredient on to the top slot to create the Resulting Potion. The required fuel at the top left is Blaze Powder.

How to Use a Potion of Invisibility

Turn Yourself Invisible

Being Invisible can come in handy as you will not be seen by other players and mobs for a brief period of time. The Potion of Invisibility can be useful to stay undetected when you want to escape from hostile mobs surrounding you.

You can either drink a Potion of Invisibility, or you can throw a Splash or Lingering Potion of Invisibility to a desired location for the effect.
