Light Blocks are blocks in Minecraft that provide certain light levels in the overworld. Light Blocks can be used as decoration or to stop mobs from spawning. Read on to see a list of all light types and find out how to get them!

Candles mostly serve as decorative lights because of their low light levels and color. You can craft them by placing honeycomb below string in the crafting screen. And you can then change the candle's color by applying Dye to it.

Campfires can be used to damage mobs, cook food, harvest honey, and set up smoke signals. They're pretty convenient, especially when doing long distance exploration, as they can do a lot of things for you.
However, Soul Campfires are more effective than the regular campfire as they can be used in the Nether to prevent Piglins from approaching you.

These light blocks only spawn on their respective biomes and dimension. You can find an End Rod in the End dimension when visiting an End City. Glowstones and Shroomlights on the other hand, only spawn in the Nether.

Froglights are light blocks you can get by feeding frogs a small Magma Cube. After eating the Magma Cube, they will spit out the Froglight. The color of the Froglight will vary depending on the type of Frog that ate the Magma Cube.

Lanterns and Lamps are craftable light blocks in Minecraft. They provide enough light to prevent mobs from spawning on certain areas and levels.

These light blocks only spawn underwater, and on specific structures and biomes. You can find Sea Lanterns inside Ocean Monuments and Sea Pickles in Coral Reefs when visiting a Warm Ocean biome.
