The infinite possibilities in Minecraft can be incredibly daunting for new players. It is important to learn the basics of Minecraft to start progressing through the game. This includes learning how to craft, mine, and get food, as well as surviving your first night with dreaded Zombies, Skeletons, and Creepers.
After getting established in your new world, your first goal should be to start mining diamonds underground to progressively get the best tools and armor. Start off with iron tools, which you can get by obtaining some relatively common iron ore. Then, head near bedrock to start mining for diamonds.
Step aside diamond gear, since there is a new top dog when it comes to equipment. Netherite was introduced back in Version 1.16: The Nether Update, which replaces diamonds as the best ore in the game.
Mine for Ancient Debris in the depths of the nether and turn it into Netherite. Use a Smithing Table to upgrade your tools and armor.
Once you have the best tools and armor at your disposal, you can start enchanting them with the best enchantments in the game. Though we recommend eventually getting gear with all available enchantments for different situations, there are some enchantments that you need to prioritze over others.
Villagers are one of the most useful mobs in the game. They can help you farm crops and spawn in cats and Iron Golems, but most importantly, you can trade with them to get a variety of goods and items that are difficult to obtain otherwise.
Try finding a village early on in your playthrough and protect the villagers in your town from hostile mobs like Zombies and Drowned.
List of Villager Trades and Jobs
Once you are ready, you can take on Minecraft's greatest challenge, the Ender Dragon. Bring your best armor and weapons, equipped with the best enchantments to make this fight a breeze. It's also best to have an extra set of gear in a chest near the end portal in case of unexpected mishaps.
