The Illusioner Does Not Spawn Naturally in the Game

Despite sharing appearances with the Illagers that are often found in Woodland Mansions and Pillager outposts, the Illusioner cannot be found naturally spawning in any Minecraft world. As of Version 1.18, the only way to spawn an Illusioner is with commands in the Java Edition.

Can be Summoned with Commands in Java

By typing in the command: /summon minecraft:illusioner in the Java Edition, you will be able to spawn in the Illusioner. As a Hostile Mob, it will behave aggressively towards the player when in Survival mode. Beware of its attacks!

When Will The Illusioner Be Added?

Currently Unknown

The Illusioner has been in the game's files since the 1.12 update. It remains to be seen if nor when the Illusioner will be implemented in the game as a naturally spawning mob.

In Minecraft Dungeons, the Illusioner makes an appearance starting from the Creeping Winter DLC.

Despite the differently colored outfit, the Illusioner behaves similarly as it does in the Java Edition. It uses Blindness spells to debuff the player, while attacking with its clones and its bow and explosive arrow.
