Snow and Ice blocks can be found in cold areas or biomes. Using the Snow Blocks can help you make useful tools and items, like a Snow Golem. Ice, on the other hand, can help you travel faster because of its slippery properties.

Kelp are blocks that can be used as another food source in the game. They are common underwater and can be obtained even using your fist only.
Seagrass, however, works differently than kelp. It doesn't work as a food source for players, but it can be used on a Composter to grow crops quickly or feed it to turtles to breed them. Take note that you will need a sheer to harvest them underwater.
