Guild Raid is a Guild event in MementoMori where players challenge bosses and claim rewards based on total damage all guild members deal. Read our guide to see the characters ranked by overall usefulness in clearing Guild Raids and our reasons for why you should use them.
Most of the characters in MementoMori have very specific uses for the different situations that the game throws at its players. Though we have ranked characters according to what we think deals the most damage or the most utility, even a character ranked lower on our list may be the most useful character to use in a given scenario.
In Guild Raids, Guild members are to defeat two characters, and occasional seasonal characters to gain personal and guild rewards.
Best characters that deal the highest damage or give the highest utility and can generally help you deal the most damage to the Guild Raid Bosses with little to no trouble. | |
Characters that offer an extremely high degree of utility, although may not necessarily deal a lot of damage and/or are more situational than SS-tier characters. | |
Slightly lower damage or utility than the higher tiers, but are still good characters with useful skills. May also be useful in dealing damage to Guild Raid Bosses. | |
Average damage potential and utility, but can offer support or synergize with other characters. May also be useful in dealing damage to Guild Raid Bosses. | |
Below-average performance and are not recommended to use in dealing damage to Guild Raid Bosses unless in specific situations. But there are probably other characters that fulfill their niche better than them. |
Character | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
Primavera | • Although Primavera's Fainted and Buff Immunity debuffs aren't particularly essential to Guild Raid content, her Passive Skill, Songstress's Gospel, makes her more than worth slotting into your lineup. This fantastic skill increases your entire team's ATK without much strings attached. Additionally, with enough critical rate, she can reliably shred the opponent's DEF for three turns through her skill Les Rose Bleue, starting from the second turn. This debuff has a near 100% uptime due to the skill's short 3-turn cooldown time. It only competes for priority against her first skill, Transcendent Melody, which gets off cooldown at roughly the same turn. |
Matilda | • Featuring what is perhaps the game’s most reliable set of offensive buffs, Matilda can really show her stuff in Guild Raid content where the risk of getting her buff easily removed is absent. Slotting her in a team all but guarantees a near 100% uptime for a powerful ATK, crit chance, and hit chance buff for your main attackers. As a bonus, she’s also very difficult to defeat, and she also gains healing capabilities once her health drops to half. |
Florence | • Florence maintains her dominance from general PvE content in Guild Raid thanks to the power of her skills. Scarlet Shimmer in particular can deal devastating damage to the enemy at the start of the turn, and can chain up to eight times on a single target - 10 if you have her Unique Weapon awakened at least once. She even has a self ATK and damage buff with a critical rate that increases as turns pass. |
Character | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
Rusalka | • Rusalka is typically used as a support unit for her Decreased Damage-dealing debuff and team Multi-Barrier effect. However, in Guild Raids, she also becomes a very competent damage dealer, provided that the player has invested enough into her MAG, ATK, Crit, and/or PM Def. Break. Vodnik’s Mire Dragon, in particular, can deal heavy damage if the target is afflicted with a debuff - something Rusalka can easily achieve by herself with enough MAG. |
Fenrir | • Fenrir may not be the strongest witch regarding her damage-dealing capabilities, but she deserves a high spot in the tier list due to one particular mechanic she possesses - allied cooldown reduction. With her in the team, she can forcefully accelerate up to two adjacent allies’ skill usage by one turn each. While fine speed-tuning is required to make full use of this effect, it can turn a skill that a player would otherwise only get to use twice every raid and use it thrice instead. |
Mertillier | Like Fenrir, Mertillier earns a place in this tier because she can force an ally’s skill to cool down faster. But unlike Fenrir, Mertillier can only do so for one ally. In exchange, she can reduce a skill’s cooldown timer by two whole turns instead of just one. That means a skill with a four-turn cooldown can be used up to two more times in a run, effectively doubling its output. She can even buff the player’s attacker by a massive 65% ATK. |
Tropon | • Although Tropon won’t benefit from her shield in Guild Raid, particularly against Luke, she does have an excellent debuff in the form of absorbing the target’s ATK and DEF and adding it to her own. This not only protects your allies from attacks, but also makes the enemy easier to damage. The effects are even more devastating if you have her unique weapon. Of course, this only applies if players can hit those debuffs. |
Amleth | • While Amleth’s first skill is by no means a game-changer, it does shred the enemy’s defenses quite a bit. The real showstopper is her 2nd skill because it can potentially chain up to eight attacks on the same target. With a Unique Weapon awakened at least once, the chances of this happening rise to 50% every time she deals damage. And since it doesn’t rely on criticals like Florence’s skill, players can use it on lineups that don’t rely on crits. |
Tainted Iris | • Iris is a powerful attacker that synergizes well with her own kit, and can deal devastating single-target damage. While shields are mostly useless in Guild Raid, particularly against Luke, all players need to pay attention to is getting a Decreased ATK debuff on the enemy. From there, Iris can go to town with her No Mercy skill. |
Summer Cordie | • Summer Cordie is a support unit that can raise a witch’s ATK and accuracy at the cost of their evasion. But while the accuracy buff (and evasion debuff) effects have a 100% uptime, the same cannot be said for ATK buff. Since it has a paltry 50% uptime, players will have to tune their speeds finely to make the best use of that period. |
Sabrina | • Aside from the obvious benefits of having a two-turn Fainted debuff, Sabrina can also deliver heavy damage to enemies provided that she can reliably crit. Her Cerulean Tempest skill even reduces the enemy’s resistance to critical hits by 40%, which almost guarantees she can deliver that one extra blow at the end of her Ultramarine Requiem. |
Merlyn | • Merlin is still a strong support for damage dealers in Guild Raid, offering big ATK and Crit buffs to allies, as well as an occasional Regeneration save. However, do pay attention to the 50% uptime for her ATK buff. |
Paladea | • Paladea is an extremely powerful support and attacker that can brute force her way into many scenarios - provided that you slot her into a Chaos team. Although for Guild Raids, her damage-dealing capabilities are still nothing to scoff at due to being able to force critical hits for absurd damage. |
Belle | Belle is an attacker specialized for single-target damage. This makes her an amazing witch to use in Guild Raids. While players won't get her increased hit effect from Fire Dragon's Wrath, being able to ramp her ATK up when her skills are on cooldown makes her incredibly strong in this mode. |
Lea | Lea has powerful attacks on top of a high chance to inflict a Faint debuff. And despite the low overall number of hits, her damage output is still among the highest that players can use against single targets due to the additional conditions attached to each of her active skills. |
A.A. | Although A.A. may not perform very well in most PvE content, she does shine in Guild Raids, where there is only one target for her Severing Rust skill to hit. Additionally, A.A. has powerful basic attacks, ensuring she can maintain momentum even while her skills cool down. |
Sivi | Sivi not only serves as a strong support in Guild Raid, but she also has dependable damage output to go along with it. That is all thanks to her active skill, Fortifying Blade, which increases the damage she and her allies with the lowest SPD deals depending on the number of times they are hit. |
Fia | While Fia's performance in Guild Raid is certainly reduced due to the lower damage she can receive from the enemy bosses and the 10-turn limit, she can still deliver a notably excellent performance in the mode if she can take hits. |
Cordie | Cordie makes it to the cut because of her powerful The Quick & The Dead skill. Despite being unable to activate its ATK self-buff in this mode, it is still a powerful nuke for single targets. When paired with her Unique Weapon, it also greatly shreds the opponent's defenses. |
Character | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
Nina | • Though Nina can steal the buffs of enemies in Guild Raid, she lacks outright damage power, making her suboptimal to use in this mode. • However, she can still be a supporting attacker who should be safe from any damage dealt by the enemy due to her high EVD. |
Soltina | • Since Guild Raid emphasizes damage output rather than Defense, Soltina would be better off being swapped out for a heavy-hitting witch instead. • But she still has her uses: namely, her ability to inflict Sleep or Faint debuffs on the raid boss, which will save your team from high damage. |
Yuni | • Since Yuni’s main function is as a healer, she can help sustain your main damage dealers throughout the raid. Her first passive skill increases the max HP with the highest ATK, as well as the max HP of the unit with the lowest remaining HP percentage. • Meanwhile, her second passive increases her CRIT RES and DEF, allowing her to survive hits if it comes to that. |
Winter Amour | • Winter Amour is not only a good secondary attacker, but a support for your main damage dealer, as her first skill increases the CRIT of the unit with the highest speed in her party. • Her second passive skill meanwhile decreases the damage of two allies next to her, giving her the potential to protect your main damage dealers. • She also retains the normal Amour variant’s ability to revive herself, so she can keep alive and keep giving allies her support powers. |
Rean | • Rean is an attacker whose main damage potential is achieved once her HP goes below 50%. Though this could help her deal decent amounts of damage to the raid boss, there’s also a good chance that it won’t get triggered if the boss seldom hits her during the battle. |
Natasha | • Natasha is a pure damage dealer in the sense that she has the necessary passive skills to raise her ATK rate as well as resist damage from the raid boss. However, her ability to inflict Faint might not get triggered since she would have to have a higher STR than the raid boss. |
Cerberus | • Though Cerberus is an attacker that targets enemies with the lowest HP and could easily be an executioner in any other scenario, there is not much of a need for her in Guild Raid, as her raw damage output can be outpaced by other attackers. • However, this is not to say that she isn’t a good sub-attacker in her own right, especially since her second passive skill can increase her ATK and CRIT. |
Armstrong | • High damage potential as well as resistance to damage, Armstrong is a good addition to any Guild Raid party. However, the expense associated with building her up, as well as the higher damage that other attackers can achieve compared to her, makes her suboptimal as a Guild Raid unit. |
Ophelia | • Ophelia is a good attacker who can lower the damage dealt by the raid boss to her and her allies, as well as Taunt them into attacking her instead. If you need someone to take the heat off of your main attackers, consider getting Ophelia on your team when possible. |
Artie | • Artie’s main function is to be a debuffer who makes enemies more vulnerable to magic attacks. However, it is only limited to that as her second skill, the ability to attack the enemy with magical attacks with a damage multiplier, requires that the enemy have a lower remaining HP percentage than her own. |
Richesse | • Richesse could be a good unit to bring along for teams that revolve around speed-tuned attackers, since she can grant a Shield to the unit with the lowest SPD of the party. However, the rest of her kit is lacking as her second skill inflicts Silence on the Raid Boss. If the Raid Boss resists her Silence debuff, then that’s it. |
Summer Moddey | • Moddey’s summer version depends on her inflicting Poison on her enemies and using that to increase her attack power. Though this could give her continuous damage against the raid boss, the output could still be slower than outright burst potential. Still, she is a decent sub-attacker and if you have her, you can use her in your party. |
Liselotte | • Liselotte is an attacker with the ability to inflict the Faint debuff on the raid boss. She also can regenerate her HP throughout the battle. However, you will need to pair her with other units that can lower the M. DEF of her enemies like Artie to maximize her damage potential. |
Claudia | • Claudia’s kit would allow her to deal heavy amounts of damage, however, it depends on how little HP she has left. The problem is that she might not be hit enough times by the raid boss for this ATK buff to kick in. |
Freesia | • Freesia’s function as a unit stays the same as she did in normal PvE: provide healing as well as buffs in terms of Evasion support. These can prolong the lives of those in the party, but other than that she can’t do much in terms of damage output. |
Priscilla | • Priscilla does the same function as she does in PvE: Heal her allies through regeneration. However, she needs higher ATK to heal effectively - and since you can only raise ATK with runes, those runes could be better off being given to another main attacker instead. |
Ivy | • Ivy can deal a lot of damage to her enemies if she's in a party that will grant her a lot of buffs. Her active skill, 'Playing With Dolls♪,' increases the number of attacks she makes the more buffs she has. • She also buffs her own ATK if an ally is defeated, increasing the damage she deals. |
Carol | • Useful buffer and debuffer with good sustain through self-healing. Carol can inflict Silence debuffs on potentially three enemies at once, as well as dispel any buffs they have or lower their DEF by 40% instead. Meanwhile, she can give all her allies 25% DEF buffs right at the start of the battle. • At a minimum, we recommend getting two copies of her, then awakening her up to SSR rarity using SR versions of R witches to make her useful. |
Luke | • Luke can be a support unit because of her ATK debuffs (she can cut the ATK of the enemy with the highest STR by 50%). Her other skills, meanwhile, revolve around her inflicting Critical Hits. This could've made her a good attacker, but you'll have better results using a non-limited unit like Cordie or Florence instead. • She could be more useful if you happen to have her and are up against enemies that like to use Shields, though. |
Fortina | • Healing in general isn't really all that potent in MementoMori, and Fortina suffers from this as well. If you must have a healer for one reason or another (there shouldn't be), then use a non-limited unit instead. |
Chiffon | • A good support unit in Guild Raids that will act as a healer, buffer, and debuffer all in one. Chiffon can boost your entire party's DEF, give them shields, boost their ATK, and heal them, all while inflicting Sleep debuffs on her enemies, making her good to have in a PvE party. |
Stella | • Similar to Lea, Stella has powerful attacks coupled with the ability to inflict Silence (which could prevent enemies from using very dangerous skills), but she can only hit single targets. |
Moddey | Despite being able to inflict the poison debuff onto enemies, which should deal considerable damage considering the enemies’ massive health pools, Moddey still easily loses to dedicated damage dealers who can deliver far more significant numbers on average. That is if you can inflict the debuff in the first place. |
Mimi | At first glance, Mimi might look appealing to use in Guild Raid due to her massive self ATK buff. However, this passive skill is unreliable at best due to its requirements. Resonance is also useless in modes where there is only one enemy, too, so she technically only has one passive skill throughout the fight. |
Elfriede | Though Elfriede can certainly function well as a damage dealer and debuffer support, her two active skills can only hit a single target once. This immediately puts a low limit on her damage output, regardless of the amount of buffs to your allies and debuffs to your target that you can stack. Fortunately, Demonic Judgement does deal heavy enough damage by default. |
Kaguya | • She can increase your team's damage potential with her CRIT and CRIT ATK buffs, though she might never be able to make use of her ATK and PM DEF Break debuffs because both Sonya and Luke don't debuff their enemies with their active skills (which Kaguya's second passive skill needs to activate). |
Minasumari | • Could be useful at dealing additional damage to Sonya (who is a Sniper-type witch), but not so much versus Luke (who is a Warrior-type witch). |
Summer Nina | • A buffer and debuffer who can raise the attack power of her allies and defend them with her shields and DEF buffs, while making her enemies take on more damage from attacks done by other party members. |
Summer Amleth | • A decent way to increase the longevity of your party, especially since her Immortality buff cannot be dispelled and lasts 10 turns. |
Milla | • Serves as an HP extender for her allies, especially any Emerald Soul damage dealers like Cordie and Fia. Useful to keep them alive for longer during the raid. |
Aine | • Could potentially perform decently in Guild Raid, as her Demon's Temptation increases her Attack as long as the battle goes on. With each turn that passes, her Attack power rises by 3%, and that would already spell a 15% ATK increase by the time turn 5 comes around. |
Character | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
Hathor | • Hathor might be useful for weakening enemy attacks. Other attackers debuff enemy attack and deal significant damage themselves, making Hathor less valuable. |
Winter Tropon | • Winter Tropon can steal buffs and enemy stats, making her a strategic disrupter. However, her first attack can't land critical hits, limiting her damage potential. |
Veela | • Veela can be a valuable asset if you're willing to invest in acquiring her. She weakens enemies by lowering their ATK and SPD. • She is conditional to use, so it might require some extra effort. |
Fenny | • Fenny can be a situational asset in Guild Raids. While she can apply "Buff Immunity," there are other buffers like Primavera who can inflict the same buff but with greater accuracy. |
Dian | • While she is a good support that enhances teammates with her 80% EVD buff, other support witches with more well-rounded buffs or healing abilities might be more generally useful. |
Gil’uial | • While Silence can be a helpful debuff to shut down enemy abilities, it might not work in Guild Raids as enemy attacks are guaranteed to hit. |
Amour | • .Amour's usefulness is situational. She can only shine if you're facing an enemy or team that relies on healing. Because of this, Amour can be replaced by other witches who can damage or buff the team, not based on the enemy's skills. |
Sophia | • Sophia can be underwhelming on her own. She is a high-risk, high-reward character. • She needs to have her Unique Weapon and potentially a team built around keeping her alive to maximize her countering potential. |
Sabrina | • Sabrina brings some support utility. She can reduce enemies' SPD, hindering their turns and cleansing debuff from herself, but she doesn't have as huge damage as other attackers. • Other witches likely offer more overall value in Guild raids due to their higher damage potential. |
Olivia | • Olivia might be a decent support option in PvE content, but she is not the best choice for Guild Raids. • Your resources are better spent on other witches who can provide more impactful support or deal damage themselves in Guild Raids. |
Lunalynn | • Her Silence debuff might not work in Guild Raids, where the enemy is guaranteed to hit. Also, Lunalynn requires a specific investment to fully shine. |
Illya | • Can inflict both Faint and Bleed on her enemies, though only for 1 turn. Illya can be a better unit to inflict Faint with. |
Alexandra | • While she could probably deal a decent amount of damage even as a secondary attacker, her slot in the party could be used by another support witch instead. |
Iris | • Iris gets squeezed out by both stronger attackers and more well-rounded support options in Guild Raids. |
Monica | • Since Monica is an N rarity character, she might not have the potential to reach the power levels needed for Guild Raiders compared to higher rarity characters. • While she can heal, her healing scales with her ATK stat, meaning you need to equip her with gear. Better give the gear to other witches. |
Loki | • Loki is not optimal for Guild Raids since the Silence buff doesn't work in this game mode, and other witches can provide better debuffs. |
Charlotte | • Charlotte can reduce the boss's attack by 20%. However, there might be other witches who can do the same thing but cause even more damage at the same time. • These other witches might be a better choice for your team. |
Arianrhod | • Arianrhod shines brightest when paired with teammates who can debuff the enemy first to ramp up her damage with her multiplier. • However, high-rarity witches like Rusalka can do both debuff and deal great damage on their own. |
Theodora | • Theodora brings party-wide defense reduction to the table, which can be helpful for your team. However, her other skills aren't as strong, and she relies on having good equipment. • Theodora's Bleed damage scales with her ATK stat, so she needs a decent weapon and other gear to perform well. • There might be other debuffers who offer more overall utility or don't require such heavy investment in equipment. |
Petra | • Petra and Dian fall into a similar niche. They both require self-harm to dish out significant damage to enemies. This strategy can backfire, making them fragile and putting them at risk of being defeated quickly. |
Shizu | • Shizu isn't known for her physical punches, so you might want to focus on other characters for dealing raw physical damage. |
Zara | • Zara can deal decent damage and slow down enemies with Speed debuffs, similar to Sabrina. However, she also inflicts Faint, which can be a strategic advantage. • On the downside, Zara gets a damage reduction buff when her health falls below 30%. While this sounds good, depending on how you've equipped her, it might not be enough to save her from being taken out in a single hit at low health. So, she can be a bit risky to use. |
Rosalie | • Rosalie has great damage for an N-rarity witch, dealing 420% ATK, which makes her invincible for a short time. • However, Rosalie can't further boost her ATK stat. • In Guild Raids, investing in characters who can benefit more from powerful runes and equipment to maximize their damage output is usually better. |
Libra | • If you find yourself needing a DEF debuff in a pinch and don't have another witch who can do the job, Libra can be a decent option. But you might be better off going with a more well-rounded character if you have other choices. |
Garmr | • Garmr might not be your best bet for raw damage. While she can slow enemies down with a 20% Speed debuff, the actual attack power of her skills is on the low side. If you're looking for characters to hit hard, you're better off using other witches who focus on physical damage. |
Skuld | • Skuld can be a decent healer, but she needs much work to shine. You'll need to focus on boosting her MAG stat to maximize her healing abilities. However, for Guild Raids, Freesia is a better option. |
Cherna | • Cherna can hit enemies with both Faint and Bleed, but they only last for 1 turn. This can be useful in a pinch but unreliable for long-term debuffs. • Illya is a better choice if you need a character who can inflict Faint for multiple turns. She'll provide a more consistent debuff application. |
Soteira | • Soteira can be helpful with her SPD debuffs, but other witches have SPD debuffs. They might offer additional effects or stronger debuffs compared to Soteira. |
