Select Multiplayer

 Select Multiplayer from the main menu. Then, pick the appropriate number of players whether that's two, three, or four players. ▶︎ Multiplayer Guide and All Online Features |

 Choose a character and a vehicle. ▶︎ Character Roster |

 If the mode is VS Race or Battle Mode, select the team you wanna join! ▶︎ VS Race Guide |
Supports up to Four Players
You can play up to four players with Mario Kart World's Split Screen feature. You must have one Switch 2 console and one copy of the game to enjoy this feature!
The mini-map also appears at the center for better viewing.
Can You Split the Screen Horizontally
Not if You’re Only Two Players
If only two players are playing the game, the screen can only be split vertically. Players can only play on the left and right of the screen.
This also means that the screen will be narrow for both players. Be careful not to fall off the tracks.
