☆ Ver. 1.1.2 Patch Update released on 7/25/2025!
The version 1.1.2 update of Mario Kart World, released on June 25, 2025, made changes to the Random course selection feature during wireless VS Races. See the full patch notes below and learn how to update your game to the latest version.
List of Contents
| ・ Adjusted courses selected in “Random” when selecting next course in a wireless “VS Race.” |
This update changes how the “Random” option behaves when selecting courses during online races. While previously this guarantees a non-intermission track and therefore guarantees a full 3-lap race on a course, it now also has a good chance of choosing an intermission track from the previous track to another course where you race it for a single lap.
Multiplayer Guide and All Online Features
|
・ Made readjustments to fix an issue where rate fluctuations were sometimes displayed incorrectly in “Online Play” and “Knockout Tour.”
・ Fixed an issue where you sometimes can’t recover quickly after falling off the course in "Dino Dino Jungle". ・ Fixed an issue where you continually hit the wall near the finish line of “Boo Cinema” when transformed into Bullet Bill. |
Along with the changes to how the course selection works online, the 1.1.2 update also fixed minor bugs that occur in some courses.

Come on Nintendo, the players used random in order not to play intermission tracks ! And you just straight up ruined it for us. Driving in a straight line isn't very fun. And driving only 1 lap is even less fun...
