The fan-favorite course, Rainbow Road, is the hidden course in Mario Kart World. In order to unlock it, you must beat all of 7 Cups in the Grand Prix. This will unlock an 8th Cup, the Special Cup, which includes this hidden course.
As of writing, there is still no way of mathematically computing the map size of Mario Kart World. The world is scaled down whenever you enter free roam, but still large enough to fit up to 30 tracks!
