This is a guide on how to get 3 stars in all rallies at Knockout Tour in Mario Kart World. Learn how to get 3 stars at Knockout Tour, its recommended characters and karts, how to get stars, its rewards, and more in this guide!
List of Contents

Stars can be earned in the Knockout Tour by finishing courses in first place. The more courses you finish in first place, the more stars you can earn. With this in mind, you have to pass through all the Knockout Tour checkpoints while in first place to get the maximum three stars in that rally.
There are no special rewards for clearing all stages with 3 stars.
| Trophy/Star | Condition |
|---|---|
| ★3 Star Gold Trophy | Finish ALL Courses at 1st Place |
| ★2 Star Gold Trophy | Finish 4-5 Courses at 1st Place (Including the Final Course) |
| ★1 star Gold Trophy | Finish 2-3 Courses at 1st Place (Including the Final Course) |
| No Star Gold Trophy | Finish the Final Course at 1st Place |
| Silver Trophy | Finish 2nd Place Overall |
| Bronze Trophy | Finish 3rd Place Overall |
| Checkmark | Finish 4th - 20th Place Overall |
Completing courses and getting stars at a higher CC or difficulty will also unlock stars for the lower CCs as well. For example, getting 3-stars at 150cc will automatically earn you 3-stars for 100cc and 50 cc.
Additionally, getting a star on Mirror Mode, the hardest difficulty, will give you a star for 150cc and below!

Utilize the mini turbo function by consistenly performing drifts during the race. Do these mini turbos consistently to take top placements, which hopefully would lead you in getting first place in checkpoints!
Drifting Guide: How to Drift Like a Pro

In the settings, it is recommended to turn on Smart Steering to consistently hit long drifts to charge mini turbo to its maximum. Smart Steering can also help if you are struggling with falling off tracks a lot.

Coins are essential to winning a race, but they become even more important in Knockout Tour because all your coins carry over from one checkpoint to the next.
It's prudent to learn where the coins are commonly located to ensure you have enough by the end, as you may have trouble catching up due to a lack of coins.

Being grouped up near a lot of racers lowers your chances in reaching first place in all courses. To avoid this, it is recommended to break through these groups using an item whenever possible.

If you are struggling to win in Knockout Tour, you can lower the difficulty of the race by lowering the CC value as needed. Lowering the CC will lower the speed of the kart, making it easier to make decisions in various situations.
Difficulty Settings: 50cc, 100cc, and 150cc Explained
There are 8 Rallies in Knockout Tour each with six connected tracks. During a Knockout Tour, your main goal will be to survive through all six races as more and more racers are eliminated for not placing the cut.

Introduced in Mario Kart World, the Knockout Tour is a race in which players race from one track to another without any breaks. Racers will choose from a selection of rallies, which determines the route that every participant will take, as well as the tracks included.
Since it's one continuous race, racers will keep the items and coins they collect until the race ends or they are eliminated.
Players must reach certain placements at checkpoints; those who do not will be eliminated. Players continue to be eliminated until only one remains, who then wins.
| Course | Checkpoint Placement |
|---|---|
| Course 1 | 20th Place |
| Course 2 | 16th Place |
| Course 3 | 12th Place |
| Course 4 | 8th Place |
| Course 5 | 4th Place |
| Course 6 | 1st Place |
There are no known rewards for completing Knockout Tour even if you three star every difficulty.

While there are no inherent rewards for completing all the Knockout Tour Rallies, it is one of the requirements to unlock the hidden Mirror Mode class. The are more requirements to meet, however, such as collecting Free Roam Collectibles and completing all the Grand Prix Cups.
