Accelerate at the Count of 2

When the 2 count appears before the start of the race, hold the accelerate button to get a Rocket Start. This will give you a burst of speed that will immediately put you ahead of other players who don’t use it.

If you press and hold accelerate at the exact moment the 2 count appears, you will get the best Rocket Start possible, and the speed boost gets lower the later you press accelerate.
