| Effect | Transform into Bullet Bill for a while. You will speed along the course automatically, knocking over any karts you hit. |

Throw a Shell That Leaves a Coin Trail
When you get a Coin Shell, you can press the L Button to throw it in front of you. The shell leaves a trail of coins that you can collect. By collecting coins, your Kart goes faster.
Use When Opponents Are Far
You can use the Coin Shell when opponents are far from you as this prevents your opponents from stealing the coins from the coin trail.
How to Deal With Coin Shell
Steal the Coins
If you stay close to an opponent with a Coin Shell, you can wait for them to throw the shell then steal the coins by driving directly toward the trail.
