Farm Unlimited Coins From Coin Cars in Free Roam

Coin cars appear randomly during Free Roam mode. Collect the coins that they drop everytime you see one!

Find Coin Stacks in Free Roam

Coin Stacks

As a side activity then completing the P Switches, Peach Medallions and Question Panels in Free Roam mode, you can find stacks of coins all over the map. Try to find and collect these stack of coins whenever possible!

Chase the Coin Shell in Races

Use the Coin Shell item to throw a shell that summons a trail of coins on the track. Chase and collect the trail to earn these coins but be careful as other racers can steal it for themselves.

Use the Question Block item to summon a question block and earn up to 8 coins with a single use.

Collect Coins Dropped by Enemies in Races

Chase other Coins

Whenever racers are knocked during a race, they will drop 3 coins. Use your Attack items and make sure to collect any coins that are dropped during a race.

Increases Kart Speed

Max Coin Speed

Coins increase your kart speed during a race so the more coins you are holding, the faster you can be and a higher chance to win. You can collect up to 20 coins during a race!

Unlocks a Kart Every 100 Coins Earned

Unlock Karts

For every 100 coins you collect, one kart will be randomly unlocked. You can collect coins in any game mode so it is always recommended to keep in mind that coins are important to collect.
