Flying Around in Free Roam

UFO location

You can find UFOs in Free Roam! There are barely any specific places where they spawn, hence it's best to just explore and look for them. They're easier to spot in open areas, making Yoshi's place a great spot to look for them.

Following It Makes It Go Down

UFO going down

Following the UFO for a brief period will cause it to descend. Once you see its colorful rays, you can go directly below it to ride it! While inside, you can press the jump (R) button to absorb animals.

Find the P Switch Near Toad's Factory

Teleport to Toad's Factory and head in the direction of Moo Meadows. Keep following the road until you can drive into the fields. Find the P Switch in the fields as its mission allows you to ride a UFO.

Note that this UFO will only appear after the P Switch is triggered, hence it won't be flying around beforehand.

How to Ride the UFO

Press and Hold the Jump Button (R)

Descend
Drag NSW - Left Analog Down
Ascend
Drag NSW - Left Analog up
Accelerate
Press and Hold NSW - A
Absorb Animals and Cars
NSW - R or Press and Hold NSW - ZR

Ride the UFO to fly in the air! You can also suck cars, obstacles, coins, and any other items on the ground! Use your left joystick to move up and down similar to the controls of riding a glider.
