Time Trials is a game mode where you can practice your fastest clears and race against other ghosts in Mario Kart World. See what to do in Time Trials, how to check your rankings, and the ghosts here!

Time Trials Rewards
No Rewards
Unfortunately there are no rewards obtained in Time Trials mode for beating all the Nintendo Staff Ghosts, like in previous games. Thus, Time Trials is better used as a way to familiarize yourself with the courses, and measure your best scores against those of your friends and the top players.
How to Check Time Trials Rankings
Select View Rankings

 Select a map, and select View Ranking, which is the fourth option. |
Viewing the rankings lets you see how fast the other players cleared a specific course!
Must Have Nintendo Switch Online
You can only view the Time Trials rankings if you have a Nintendo Switch Online.
Graphs are Unconfirmed
There are no signs of Time Trial's graphs for now. There is a possibility that there isn't enough data for it to be displayed.
How to Check Ghosts in Time Trials
Download Ghost's Rankings
Select View Rankings in Time Trials, then select a ghost you would want to watch. You can choose to download their ghosts to view their clears. Note that you need to be subscribed to Nintendo Switch Online to enjoy this feature.
Check Ghosts Offline
You can check the official in-game ghosts by selecting View Ghosts. You may learn when to drift, and even hidden shortcuts simply by watching them. This feature is available even if you're playing offline.
Time Trial Tips
Use Triple Mushrooms Wisely
Time Trials is a game mode where you race alone while having Triple Dash Mushrooms. There are no item boxes available throughout the entire race, so make sure to use them wisely.
Learn Shortcuts
The best use for Time Trials is to discover shortcuts by viewing ghosts and to practice them for a better time!
