Coin Shell
Once you throw the coin shell, coins will appear in a straight direction. This item will be your chance to collect a lot of coins, just be sure not to let your opponents get it first.
Kamek
Using Kamek will transform everyone except you to look like the same character. This will start chaos and confusion in the tracks as no one will know who's who!
Dash Food
It provides a short speed boost when used, but it has the unique ability to transform your character's outfit into a different one.

Ice Flower
The Ice Flower is an ice ball that you can throw at opponents to freeze them. Resembling the Fire Flower from previous titles, this item has an added slow effect. Originally appearing in Mario Kart Tour, it will be included in Mario Kart World for the first time as part of the main Mario Kart series.
Hammer
When thrown, the hammer will parabolically fly forward and can hit your opponents. After being thrown they will also stay on the tracks for a short time and act as obstacles to block opponents!
This item was initially featured in Mario Kart Tour, and it will be making a reappearance in Mario Kart World, similar to the Ice Flower.
Mega Mushroom
Using the Mega Mushroom will make you large! This enlargened state allows you to stomp on your opponent and essentially flattening and slowing them down.
The Mega Mushroom makes its return to Mario Kart World, marking the first time since Mario Kart Wii that this item has been featured.
Feather
The Feather is a useful item that allows you to jump and dodge attacks! You may even discover secret routes in the track thanks to it.
Previously, the Feather was exclusively available in Battle mode in Mario Kart 8. This marks the first time the Feather has been available for use in Grand Prix mode since its appearance in the original Super Mario Kart.

Anonymous 6 monthsNeither the Feather nor the Mega Mushroom are new to Mario Kart World. The Feather had first appeared in the original Super Mario Kart, then appeared again in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. (In Battle Mode only for the latter.) The Mega Mushroom made its Mario Kart debut back in Mario Kart Wii.
