What are Frantic Items?

Makes Powerful Items Spawn More

Frantic vs Normal

At its core, Frantic Items mean that the items you'll get are more powerful relative to your position. There are better chances of getting powerful items at high rank such as Lightning or Super Star, and racers at low rank may get better items like Triple Green Shells or even Triple Dash Mushrooms.

Do note that this just makes the chances higher, and it does not guarantee that you'll always get better items! The result of this setting is essentially more chaos and more chances of a comeback from everyone!

Available in VS Race and Battlemode

VS Race Mode

Frantic Items are only available in VS Race and Battlemode. This is because you can change the ruleset of both modes, making the experience more personalized.

VS Race is the perfect mode to race with teams. Battle Mode, on the other hand, has two types. First is Balloon Battle where you pop your opponents' balloons, and second would be Coin Runners where you have to collect as many coins as possible.
