Mega Mushroom Item Effect and Uses

Mega Mushroom Mega Mushroom
Effect Three Red Shells will orbit your kart that you can launch toward the opponent in front of you.
Change from Previous Games:
Stays in big size if shocked.

Increases Your Size!

By pressing the L Button, you will consume the Mega Mushroom, making your character increase in size!

Squish Enemies

While in Mega form, moving toward your opponents will make you drive over them and squish them temporarily.

Use in Crowded Areas

You can use Mega form effectively if you drive over multiple opponents in front of you, so you can consume your Mega Mushroom in areas where its crowded.

Blocks Lightning

While in Mega form, Lightning does not make you shrink or go back to your normal size, so you can block Lightning by consuming your Mega Mushroom before it strikes.

How to Deal with Mega Mushroom

Stay Behind Your Opponent

If you stay close behind your opponent while they're in Mega form, you can avoid getting squished. Once their Mega form runs out, you can drive past them safely.
